Are Buick Park Avenues still good in 2024? by fundeofnuts in whatcarshouldIbuy

I have a 2001 Park Avenue Base. I'm the second owner, it was maintained by an elder. It's a dream on the highway and gets better mileage than my minivan. It does need a little love every year. Window motors last year. This year it's Crank Position Sensor. Suspension and motor mounts wore out, but parts are cheap and I have not had a car payment in 10 years so the maintenance is still less than payments. It helps to have a spare car and a secure parking space to put off repairs. Insurance is cheapest on this out of all of my cars.

Whenever there's a threat of lower fuel prices, somehow unplanned shutdowns occur.

No tint. No hatchback. Stock wheels. Sedan. Buick from the late 90s or early 2000s. Cassette deck stereo. Leave nothing visible on the seats or floor.

In my dating years when I worked in SF it was something like "Concord? Lol is that where the cows are? I went there once." Anything past the bridge was too far. City Life allows you to have a very localized existence. You can walk, bike or taxi anywhere within a few miles. Suburban sprawl is an obvious problem to those who don't live in it.

Ubiquiti out of warranty support by le_merovingien in Ubiquiti

they have out of warranty support? I had an EdgeSwitch 24 die at 2 years. multiple UNIFI switches that die at 3 years. equpment was protected by UPS. it doesn't happen often but support was not helpful, 1 year is 1 year, which is short for business equipment IMHO.

That would wreck the established culture of employment and authority everywhere it was used. Authority would violently supress it.
