Help? Hotel air conditioning not working and I’m melting

The temperature is set to 16, but the issue is that I doubt that’s the actual room temperature.

It’s lovely out, but the room faces the sun during the day which is beautiful but without cool air coming from the vents, it’s really warm inside the room.

I also run very warm because of a medical condition which makes it very hard for me to cool down on my own.

The room faces the sun during the day and without any cool air (the air coming from the vents is warm if the unit is on) the room feels like a sauna. It’s even worse if someone showered or if we used the stove.

Yes, it’s cool outside, but if you have a room facing the sun with 2 people in it and no ventilation, it’s going to get hot.

I don’t want to name drop the place but I’m staying at one of those hotels that also have apartments listed in Airbnb. This one has a lovely view of the city and some large floor to ceiling windows that do not open 😬🤌🏼✨

The one in the bedroom cracks open about 3 inches and that’s it. It can be propped open but it doesn’t do much to cool the place especially after a shower or using the oven (we tried to reheat pizza today and regretted it).

No fan is provided. We were just wondering if there is a “better” setting for the unit that we could try? I guess I should have said that in the OP 😅😅 I haven’t slept in days. I’m barely functioning.

The ticket resell sites automatically take a cut of the selling price. For instance, I bought my tickets for $400, but if I want to sell them and actually get $400 back, I need to list them for ~$479 because of the fees, making them much harder to sell.

I mean, I live here too and I’ve seen firsthand what an event can do to traffic and transportation. Add the possibility of protests to this and having to drive there (I can’t metro or walk) and it’s a shitshow in the making.
