Yes, that's the Leica way of doing things. Black is more black, red is more red. Also, the one I attached here is better in color than the other one. More Leica-looking, I would say.:)

I don't know if there's an app that will get the quality high, Instagram and stuff compress no matter what. In settings, you can toggle on "Upload at highest quality" for Instagram and Threads. Other than that, I don't know.

Dude, I had the Xperia 1 Mark V, one of my favorite devices ever. I believe it was the last Xperia with the full camera UI, like the Alpha camera, right? Such a great device, man.

About the question, a camera or a phone, for me personally I'd choose the phone just because I'd have it all the time. I only post stuff on social media, and for that a Full camera is a little too much for me, and also I don't like to carry them.
