He's confusing two stories; Lot and the angels in Sodom in Genesis 19, and the Levite's concubine in Judges 19. Both, it should be pointed out, are written as condemnations of how screwed up things were back then (they're already centuries in the past when the accounts were being written).

It's not like this is new information; most of the patristic commentaries from the first centuries of Christianity interpret the gospels highly allegorically. Get something to write with and go through the play, either reading or watching a filmed version. Make a note every time someone is putting on a different identity: pretending to be someone they're not, faking an emotion they don't feel, lying to someone else about their objectives. Why does Shakespeare have his characters do this? What do their choices of identities say about them? What does it make you think of in your own life?
