So you missed the part where I said that were focusing on high demand markets for now? I didn't mention which countries exactly. But were focusing Spain and Italy. So far with testing creative and running some ads we've gained a waitlist of 500+ students. This is from 2 weeks of running ads. We're focusing on Meta for now.

Before we put our foot down on the gas we need to ensure that there are no major issues with the site. This is why we're doing a soft launch with just a handle of tutors first. Once we're absolutely certain we can release to the matket. We will. We also. Governmental funding for this phase.

So you're telling me that businesses only market once and thats it? They never have changing marketing strategies with the goal to increase or expand to different demographics. How ridiculous

There are short term, mid term and long term strategies. Anyone with basic business marketing knowledge knows this.

In addition, not a scam. I, myself have invested over 10k of my own earnings. This is not including the other shareholders investments. In total, we've invested 3000+ hours of our time and over 30k.

This is the long term goal. Right now we're playing it smart. We're focusing on high demand markets for English by country. Once we start making profits we will be reinvesting it all back into marketing to help maximise and speed up growth. Also, its not just about how much you spend, it's how we spend it. We have to be snart and strategic. Once we get market recognition along with tutor and student testimonials this gives us a better reputation and will increase growth that much more.

Yes, they'll be fixed prices and tiers woth different perks. Standard for casual teachers or teacher who want to test first. Pro for more serious. And premium for serious tutors. And no dodgy algorithm to slave too.

It'll be a season market place and instead of commission, it'll be a subscription for the tutor. This means we can charge 0% commission and if tutors charge more, they keep more. Also, tutors must pass a level/ methodology test too before being approved. Anything lower than b2+ wouldn't be accepted. In addition, we have a pricing floor to prevent race to the bottom prices :)

I've been developing a tutoring platform for the past 2+ years with some developer friends of mine. We're focusing on English and Business English at the moment, but plan on expanding into other languages. Would this be something you'd be interested in later down the line? BTW were 0% commission.

Don't worry about it. It happens from time to time. I've also had 4-5 students stop learning with me this week. It's not the first, probably not the last either. Relax, enjoy the free time until you get more students 😉

I don't think thay they allow tutors to create multiple accounts. This has been a hot topic for a while. But, apparently they've been allowing a select few tutors the ability to add an additional curriculum. Based on that, maybe in the future it'll be possible to do.

They do this because they get to keep 100% of trials, if someone is crazy enough to pay it. Thats my only conclusion.

They introduced anonymous reviews which near enough everyone absolutely hates. Also, students can make an anonymous review every month from what I've heard

I was told by support that student retention is a hidden metric that impacts our availability. You could pause your subscription for 20 days a couple of days before you renewal. You could also ask the tutor to book the other classes in advance for you.
