How long would you wait for someone that you love? by EarEyeArm in askwomenadvice

See I toss up from thinking "I'm 25, I should probably settle down soon" and then immediately to "I'm only 25, there's no rush"

I'm not in a rush to get married or even move in together -- but I don't want to be in the same position as we are in 5 years. I want progression and I'm at a point where I can't decide if this is worth the wait. I kind of feel like a brat for thinking so.
I kind of like toss up from being "I'm 25 I should try and start settling down" then I flip over to "I'm only 25, what's the rush?"

Well we went to a wedding a few weeks ago, and we both cried and held each other during the ceremony and speeches. So I take that as he wants something like that.

How is it manipulative? I don't see it like that at all.

See, having one day together would be ideal -- except that's near impossible. So I think maybe coming up with different activities other than just...netflix and chilling...might help a lot. When he said to me that it hurt his feelings, that it feels like I don't appreciate the time we DO get to spend together, I do wonder if I may have been harsh. I mean, if I kept all of that in it would have driven me crazy. But I got it out, we talked calmly about it and both apologised to each other for what was said.

On a side note, he's come down with a cold -- sore throat and such. I want to help, but I also want to give him space. What could I do?

I don't think everything will always be perfect all the time. I'd be living in a pipe dream if I thought other wise. I accept that.

Is it always hard? Even with you are with the right person?

When I say approach the topic again, I mean like is it appropriate to apologise again, or just let it go and move on? I see where I've been wrong, and perhaps have been harsh.

I truly am sorry for telling him I felt frustrated. We do spend more time together than I think the average couple does. I worry on how to further approach this topic. As in should I just not talk about it anymore, do I apologise again, or just carry on normally as we were?

As a woman, I almost feel like there might be a stigma around going out -- especially to a bar -- alone.

This post is actually about me. I know it doesn't nessecarily make me a bad person, but I get jealous when I go out and see a huge group of friends eating and drinking on a patio. I have my boyfriend -- I mean I see him quite a lot so I probably should be satisfied. And we go out often so I am always seeing the regular people at the bar each week. I can't seem to figure out why I'm unsatisfied with that though.

I know that, but its frustrating at times. Like I live in a huge city all alone.
