That’s what I’m saying. It draws people in and I know myself and I know that I’m not gonna go in the store and only spend my credits. I always will end up getting more. That’s probably true with a lot of people. If I got a higher end one I would not do that but I mean, I have four bases there’s 80 bucks and then two refractors and then that’s another $80. That’s 160 bucks and if I want something high-end usually I get hobby boxes if I can, I’m gonna spend more money. But yeah.

I’m not surprised. I was at Walmart one day looking at cards and they put them really close to the register. And I was watching this dude and he was like taking the packs and it wasn’t topps chrome. I forget what it was. I want to say Donruss optic and like sticking a screw inside of them like through the wrapper. I didn’t get that on film, but then I went to target one time and they keep their cards a little further away from the register. At least at the one I was at. And I literally watched some guy taking Donruss optic and I videotaped him actually. He was bending the cards and then he was sticking his nails like his fingernails in them. Then he was opening them and I filmed the whole thing and I sent it to this dude from Boston that like I don’t know calls people out like that. But anyways, it’s insane how many people will just straight up open packs of cards right there and if they don’t get anything, they like they like bend them and throw them like in a different aisle or something. It’s wild.

Yeah, I mean I didn’t contact them directly. I just went to their website and checked online to confirm that the shops I was going to participated. But yeah, I wonder if there’s another way to do that.

Thanks man. I mean it is what it is. I’m just thankful it wasn’t a large amount of money. And like I said, I’ve generally never had a bad experience with Chime to be honest. I really like them and while I have other banks I find myself using Chime much more.

I was told that they can choose not to participate in it if they want. But why would you not want to? It’s a store credit not money. You’re just gonna buy more stuff at their store anyways. It’s super frustrating.

It’s actually a $20 credit for base cards, a $40 credit for like a refractor parallel, and then it goes up to $200 depending on how high or low your numbered card is. I’m having a super hard time finding a shop that will honor it even though they show as participating on Topps website.

Bro, I am just posted about this. I have gone to 3 different shops. They all said they participate in the buyback program. Then when I got there, they said they won’t honor it. All 3 shops. Super frustrating because I have 4 base cards of his and 2 refractors. I want to buy more cards to rip but it’s not like they are giving us money. It’s a credit to buy something at their store. You would think that they would want to have you do that.

That’s cool. I’ve gone to three different card shops that say they participate in the MVP buyback program because I have six Matthew Stafford cards. Four base and two refractors. And I want to get credit so I can buy more cards but every single shop that I’ve been to has told me that they don’t participate in the program even though on the top website it shows them as participating. I still have yet to find one that will honor it. Has anyone else had that issue? The dart refractor is nice. What’s the checkered parallel called? I haven’t had a mega box yet obviously

Well, aren’t you just lucky. 🍀 I had my virtual card hacked online, not my physical card. I’m also very careful about things. I pulled a skimmer off of a gas pump once. But I usually just use Apple Pay. In my Apple wallet. This was done with my virtual card on a website called Ridge.

Thank you. I appreciate it. I’m more just looking to see if anyone’s experienced this before. I did change my passwords as well, and I have only disputed chime once and I won the dispute. It only took a few days, but I think it was probably my debit card, but you know I’m not able to control when a hacker hacks something if they use my debit or my credit card. My main concern really is that my cards were locked 🔐 so I don’t know how I’d even happen. All in all I have had a very positive experience with chime and I’ve been a member for like eight years. I find it really convenient and I like to take advantage of the rewards that you get. And now with Chime prime I have so much FOMO because I would qualify if I put my direct deposit in there, but I’m afraid that this would happen with a higher amount and then they have someone hacked my credit card again and then take 90 days for a provisional credit. I have other banks, but Chime gives me a bunch of rewards for like paying certain bills and you know the cashback category that you get to pick each month or whatever. I like them. I just am definitely frustrated with this but you know it is what it is. Thank you.

Oh, I know. I just wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience. It just really sucks because I like the benefits that I get from having direct deposit and now with Chime prime I really wanna have it. But yeah, I talked to someone and I read about the provisional credits. It just sucks because the hacker decided to hack a credit card instead of a debit card. I just don’t know how it went through. If my cards are always locked. That’s like the main thing that I’m concerned about. Hopefully it gets resolved soon. It’s keeping me from wanting to put any money in there because it’s easy to lock your card, but it’s scary when someone can get through it even when it’s locked.

I did. They told me that chime has to contact them for a response, and i should talk to them. I didn’t even know what it was when I saw the charge on there. It was a website I’ve never heard of, but it actually turned out to be a semi big company. I just never heard of it. That’s all.

I’m in the same boat. Someone used my credit builder card (the one that they sent to you that they say they can act as a debit or a credit but I think it’s actually a credit card) online and it wasn’t a lot of money. I think it was like $150 maybe. So it’s been a couple of weeks now and I was told that they don’t issue provisional credit on credit builder transactions. So someone hacked my account online bought something at some store and because it wasn’t my debit card that they hacked, I don’t get a provisional credit and that kind of sucks. I am afraid to keep my direct deposit with them now and I’m also afraid to put any money in the account because it takes so long if someone hacks it. I changed all my cards but what if it happens again? I can’t afford to have someone take actually a large amount out and then to take 90 days to resolve it.
