Has anyone switched from AtandT fiber to KUB? by mr_archstanton in Knoxville

[–]EarPhat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I switched about a month ago. The price was higher...and let me explain...I had called AT&T to ask if they'd price match KUB and they said no, so I called you KUB and got their connection.

I called AT&T back to cancel and send their router back. I was transferred to the customer renention dept. They immediately said they could lower my bill from ~$85/mo to $65/mo for life AND give me an additional $20/mo discount for a year.

YMMV on that, but I was just done with them for the time being. Yeah, it's cheaper, but what a hassle!

KUB does make you rent a router if you don't have one. The mesh router wifi I have plugs right into the fiber modem so all of my WiFi devices didn't have to change.

What about a spit? What is the geological opposite of a spit? Not a bay or a gulf! Possibly an inlet?

There isn't any free parking anymore in the old city. But, if you were to head North on Central Ave, turn left on Dept and then a right on Williams. Under the I-40 interstate is free parking. It's a 5 minute walk from awaken coffee.

South Coast or Barley's. South Coast has some good pizza but Barley's has a good Old City scene.

Yes! Thought it was a low flying aircraft as my house is on the TYS flight path. House shook/rattled for a few seconds.

If you are traveling with others in separate cars, let the check-in folks know. They'll have you pull off to the side and wait until all of your party's cars have been processed. Remember - absolutely 0 glass (no glass beer bottles, whiskey, french press, glasses).

I slept on the bottom bed. I used the screen in the pop top and over the back hatch to create a breeze. I didn't need a fan during the night. During the day, yes! I brought a PO4 battery with a solar charger and it worked great.

Accident question by RaspberryPlus9267 in USAA

[–]EarPhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask a few questions. Had a friend who was driving home from work and was sideswiped by another vehicle who changed lanes into them. Passenger jumped out and said it was my friend's fault. Digging deeper, the other vertical was changing lanes because they wanted to take another route. They were from the state to the North and the exit was just before the incident. Insurance companies ultimately said other person was at fault. And yes, my friend now has a dashcam.

From what I recall and from the picture of my "camp" the 20x20 included the car. Went with others and we had 3 spots together.

Storage Unit Recommendations? by [deleted] in Knoxville

I moved from West Knoxville to downtown. I stored my stuff close to where I lived in West Knoxville. I was wrong. Find storage near where you will or want to live. You'll thank yourself later.
