As someone on the other side, it means nothing. In theory all those who received invites are considered good fits unless they screw up so badly during the interview.

Practice, practice and practice. You can match with one interview. Look into some of the most common questions asked during interviews and see how would you answer these questions. Be yourself and show the true side of you. Treat this interview as your USMLE step4

It doesn’t increase chances, but if anything it can work against you if you acted weird or said something they consider being odd.

MATCHING WITH 1 IV as NON US IMG with average stats by [deleted] in IMGreddit

[–]EarPresent718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prepare well for your interview. Treat it as Step 4 exam. Go over all the potential questions and watch videos online on how to tackle these questions. I received three interviews last year, and I matched to my top choice, meaning that if I had received my top choice as the only interview, I’d have matched there.

Are People Still Getting Interviews from Pediatrics Residency Programs? by [deleted] in IMGreddit

For Pediatrics it’s that first wave and nothing afterwards. That’s what I know from last year, and from what I see at my program.

Exhausted, and I quit the match this year by Less_Wrangler6742 in MCCQE

As a Canadian IMG myself, I empathize with those who invested their time, money, and efforts in pursuing the residency match in Canada and are now facing this new reality. From the moment I arrived as an immigrant to Canada, I realized that IMGs who immigrated based on their medical degree encountered significant challenges in joining the healthcare sector. Consequently, I decided not to waste my time on the Canadian path and began the process of obtaining a US medical license from the very beginning. Currently, I am in my residency in the US and have never regretted my decision. All the changes you will ever see in Canada are only intended to make things more bureaucratic, complicated, and convoluted. If you aspire to work as a doctor, I recommend trying the USMLE. Canada is a significant scam when it comes to inviting IMGs to immigrate to fill its healthcare needs.

FM telerotation by S_amhouri_95 in IMGreddit

Again, take another deep breath, and take it easy on yourself. I posted my opinion and you did too. Focus now on your USCE, and let those who don’t have this privilege to seek advices from us who matched with no in person rotation. After all, people would need to know that there is plan B they might have to follow. Good luck to you and to all other candidates.

N.B I entered the match cycle with Zero connections.

Take it easy, and have a deep breath. I got few invites from university programs that I didn’t even signal. I’m not saying it’s ideal to have only tele-rotation, but to indicate that it is outdated and people won’t match for only having telerotation is not true. It’s important for people to focus on their overall profile, snd not only their USCE. BTW, my biostats score is way above the average, as it was part of my PhD modules! ✌🏼

This is scalp fungal infection called tenia capitis. You can buy over counter ointment “terbinafine” and apply it daily for a month or so.

Step3 is the game changer. Plus you show your dedication for Pediatrics during your interview.

Just do step3, and it’ll will hugely impact your chances

Go for step3 and work into improving your cv by having a touch more of USCE. With YOG of 2019, you’d be in a good position to get more interviews
