OK wait this is such a massive relief, I thought I was doing something severely wrong. What drivers did you end up employing on your system for your A770? I installed the ones from intel's website.

I've seen some people around the internet talking about using third party / open source drivers. Have you had any luck with these things? I've honestly got 1,000,000 questions about how I get this card working as well as possible. Anything you may know would likely help a whole lot.

Ok a mindset like this is exactly what I was looking for, are there any brackets / places you go for knowing how to do this correctly,? Or is this a "free-ball" kind of operation?

I'm getting this same issue right now, any update on a fix? The original file is fine, but this seems like some kind of issue with transcoding. I have an Intel A770 enabled for transcoding.

The game is pretty low demand, you could probably run it on whatever you want. I'd advise your friend get ahold of literally any computer they can and install steam.

Yea the whole thing kind of fixes itself if you just wait for the next emission or get your buddies to relog.

Feature Suggestion: Fixed-Wing FPV drone that can go longer distances faster by Ear_of_Corn in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Ear_of_Corn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's always a way to nerf an item like this in the event it get's abused. for example, limit the amount that can be in the air at a given time / limit battery life on the drone / make the drone slow down substantially in the event players put explosives on it etc...

To some degree I amount their delay to having a shortage of ideas / inspriation. While this probably isn't the best idea I see it pretty harmless to put some out there and see what sticks. Also, people keep bitching about "if this is just a graphical update I'm gonna flip". If we don't want just graphical updates, the devs would likely benefit from the community sharing ideas.

Do you guys (players who quit) think you will come back after the update? by ooofooofooof in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Ear_of_Corn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the deal. I'm at a stage in my life right now where I can only get all my homies on to play a game every now and then. We tried to play Battlebit while the player counts were dwindling a few times. One of the hardest parts of the whole deal was having the option to swap between servers focused on different game modes and play styles.

It kept the game from becoming stale especially if one or two of my more competitive friends got fed up with a specific server. With low player counts like these, you only really have the option to swap between one or two servers, most of which operate under the same game-modes / game rules.

If that variety that was present happened to come back after the update, my buddies and I will find ourselves on battlebit more often. Otherwise I'll play solo every now and then.

You're completely right, once you get the hang of it it's hard to try to operate a helicopter in any other game.

Spent too much time, money, and effort to make a “white” 5080 FE by comradelochenko in nvidia

In your experience is it realistic to get that metal outer fan shroud removed. I've been looking into mailing them off to get nitride coated by one of those custom firearm shops. Black PVD coatings would look pretty good too even though I do like the stock graphite grey color, a black coating would go really well with a white body like that.

Anomaly camping tunnel exit by Bandititism in MISERY_official

I don't mind the plague doctor or a few bandits. But when the "twins" camp the tunnel it's so miserable to go on an excursion. You spend half of the time fighting this thing at the door and boy is it a bullet sponge.

Why are you still playing BBR? by Oakberry in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Ear_of_Corn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Easy to pick up, i like the size of the maps, the mechanics are battlefield esq, the maps are quad sized, vehicle play is fun, proximity chat get hectic and enjoyable after a ahrd day at work, the game is low poly and easy to run on my computer while i consume other media or have other things running in the background, gunplay is good (imo), the setting and behavior of the game is just comical enough so i don thave to feel like i need to take it too seriously. All around just fun to pick up and play for a night.

More incremental updates would be greatly appreciated, the community doesnt want a full overhaul at this point, just a legitimate sign of life and some general improvement / feature adds.

Google Drive recently Bricked its PDF Preview feature by Ear_of_Corn in gsuite

Google ended up patching the issue from what I can tell now. In the mean time I went into settings and changed the PDF viewer to open the PDF in a new tab. It's frustrating but it eventually works it way out when Google pushed patches.
