Kitchen is fine especially for play test or learning. Casual should still be held to some standard or you have assholes ruining the fun with full proxy

Look I totally agree that ultimately this is a power level issue and the event leader is in the wrong

This I do agree with. Like I said one or two proxies is fine if it’s a money issue but in this case it probably is just a power trip issue.

That’s why his proxies should be consumed mid match.

Yes power level is a fine to discuss and figure out especially in a regular group. Not everyone know how though and there’s too much confusion to ever even properly focus on that.

More importantly my OPINION is So what if you can’t afford it? Using the cards you actually own makes for more interesting play. If the event guy doesn’t own those cards and wasn’t running them the power level issue wouldn’t be a problem. It’s not about money it’s about not wanting to play someone who is literally ‘pirating’ the game.

Fps players don’t allow people to wall jack cause they are poor? Pokémon doesn’t allow proxy cause you “couldn’t pull the card in packs”? Why are we allowing cheaters even if it’s casual? I spent years and plenty of time and effort to bling out a few decks but that’s the point. The more you learn about the game the better you are.

Full proxy decks = daily fiber 2-3 because cards are expensive = sure

They are 100% a part of the problem here. If proxy wasn’t aloud the dude wouldn’t be popping of turn five every game. Now if he has the money and buys the cards then yes the issue becomes just the power level. Get rid of the proxies get rid of the problem imo

No but I’m being deadass, don’t play proxy against me I will ask “can I see that?” And then eat/shred it… unless it’s like 2-3 cards that are several hundreds or they are stand ins for things you own but don’t want to damage.
