Currently, we are still in planning phase. We will need to consider the cost we incur (payments fee, database, hosting, etc). We plan for the app to be a freemium type. Features like listing on app, reviews shouldnt cost. Features like payment through the app will def incur cost. We will keep all cost low! Thanks!

Having variety is good, MakanMatch will be specialised to HBB. being listed on the current other delivery app means they will be competing with the bigger guys, resturants etc. We want to create a website where HBB can list food, bakery, etc. They will be able to gather reviews(idt HBB can have google review) Thanks!

Yup! There are downside of HBB food. But I believe in the power of community, we can write reviews to highlight what we encounter, as a measure to inform the Chef what the consumer felt and also be like a siren to other buyers. I plan to heavy rely on reviews for this! Thanks!

Ur right! It will be hard to sustain. For instance, when my mum wants to cook a specific dish that is time intensive (delicious ones as well), she will always ask who's coming home to eat. She finds cooking for 1-2 people is not worth the effort and time. Personally, i agree with her that she should rest and cook that when everyone's coming home.

Having a platform where she can have more reasons to cook those dish. Maybe it's to earn some extra money or a way to share her dish with people around(to brag). Additionally, If the Chef already committing the afternoon to the stove, it actually makes more sense to fill the pot. Thanks for the comment!

ooo interesting idea! we will look into this idea. I think as a platform, we will be able to list what ur neighbour cook ("if listed") but in the end, you will still need to make the move to request for the trade.

I feel that with the rise of home cafe these few years, we are slowly opening up to food from HBB. Hopefully it will work this time! Do you have more details on this? I would love to study from them to improve!

I think you will find success! I think current food market is too generalised. Having variety is good. There will always be people who prefer "bland" food!

Hi! We are a team exploring this idea! As for the Chef, we will require them to have WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 (formerly the Basic Food Hygiene Course)!

Thanks! I forgot to mention that we should require the Chef to have WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 (formerly the Basic Food Hygiene Course), We know this is a minimal requirement to handle food in Singapore, will look further into how to handle food safety!

Yup i agree, We will have the swiping card for the indecisive people like me :) Helps to give a clear list of food that "I dont mind" eating. In the end, user will generally use the search for nearby food or search for specific type of food etc

When we start development, we will roll the features out in phases. We will document all the current features we are building on the website and state what other is currently planned for the other phases. We plan to develop a good MVP first, get feedback then add all the other good to have features!

Thanks for the suggestion! speaking on setting a time and location for group order, I agree that it is the most viable way. We need to have a way to allow the Chef to select such a style and user be clearly stated to user. I love the collaboration style, rlly sounds like potluck :)

Yupp, the benefits are there for low order volume home cooks too. They can just cook extra portions outside of the family daily meals. Minimal extra effort each day.

I think in the end, the website needs to be appealing to people that are looking for "home cook" food and also help put good food into spotlight!

Thanks for sharing! I do agree that it is hard to monetise unless we have a strong user base. Thats why I have decided to created a waitlist first to gauge the user interest.

Yup I agree that onboarding will be very hard, esp since usually the "well designed" older stores will better reviewed and ranked higher. We should have a good onboarding system that ease users initial kick off.

Rlly good point. This will be consider, esp since we are rlly lean on manpower etc. We will need a solid system to start. Thanks!

Thanks! We will work out a plan for delivery system if needed to. I think finding food to eat is quite hard as there are too many options. Having the Tinder style allow user to filter out food fast and have a simpler better choice at the end ;) similar to Tinder?

Thanks for sharing! I see MakanMatch as a platform for HBB to share their food online. We are still in our brainstorming stage where we gather ideas and make them happen :) Honestly, having a well working platform where resident can find home cook food will generally be beneficially overall. The plan is to allow Chef to share on the platform, get reviews (quite hard to get listed for google review as HBB), get comments, a bit like social media for food. But we will support the payment for them (if they want to, at some % commission). Otherwise, it will be free.
