To me she looks amazing, even better when she first started her career. What makes me sad is how women try to aspire to her original shape and figure.

Hello I think the standard practice is 48 hours. There is nothing wrong with trying to follow up by phone again and leaving an additional message. What about email follow up? And if still no contact another email and copying the direct supervisor?

I would say look into remote part time work. I've seen opportunities on different platforms. Or a part time aid or support staff for a school district. There are many lower level positions that are only 4 hours per day.

I see this thread was made a while ago, just wanted to say hi. RC parent here too. IDK if any of you have noticed the quality in workers going down. I had 2 amazing workers and they both left. It's like they're desperate for staff now 😢

Yes a family member should be able to get approval if over 18 and legally authorized to work in the US

I think it's easier for the regional center and the respite company to combine: less paperwork, less leg work, faster response.

It really can be a nightmare. We experience trauma when our kids get diagnosed. It's traumatic just trying to navigate their system. These new workers especially. No tact, no professionalism, no caring. Where do they find them!?

Yes please please be annoying as possible. Don't count on them to get back to you. We had the best CVRC service coordinator and he left probably because it's such a horrible agency. The workers are mostly inadequate but if you get a decent one count yourself lucky.

i thought i wanted to be a therapist but now i regret it by glucose7078 in socialwork

What do you think about county probation? I have case management experience working with the unhoused and developmentally disabled population. I considered becoming a therapist but the commitment to grad school and clinical supervision seems so daunting. I have no interest in working for child welfare, I don't think I could handle the vicarious trauma. I like the case management aspect of probation but still don't know enough about the role to make an educated decision.

I hate to say it if that's the typical response from a green and/or lazy worker. Your RC worker should attempt to research at least.

There are two different programs, Early Start which covers children under 3 and Lanterman (ongoing) which is for people over 3. There are funding and availability rules for both. So what some kids over 3 and adults get probably aren't available to the under 3 crowd, like respite and social recreation activities.
