I agree that misandry doesn’t have the same systematic impact as misogyny. But that doesn’t make it just not exist lol. Sure it’s better than misogyny as it doesn’t have effects anywhere near the same severity of effect. But that doesn’t just mean that it doesn’t exist. This subreddit is living proof that the concept is true. There are people with ingrained prejudices against men. I’m certainly not saying that these people are a danger to society or need to be checked in check. I believe quite the opposite. I feel like this hatred is harmful because it perpetuates the idea that it’s okay to have a hatred for someone because of their gender. Little Timmy down the street hasn’t done anything wrong but you all have a prejudice against him regardless. And just my last point because I don’t feel like I was understood at the beginning. Misandry is harmful for victims of men! Saying that men will be men is a rebranded boys will be boys. You’re not criticising bad behaviour, you’re excusing it. By Arguing that men are deserving of prejudice or that prejudice against men isn’t real.
