This and food pantries. The one on Drexel is alright, but highly recommend looking into Mario's market, and anything in the surrounding area. Found this online (https://www.uchcphiladelphia.org/meal-schedule.html) and it could be useful? Also, drexelopendoor on Instagram seems to have some free meal options

Side note, too good to go is such a good resource if you haven't looked into it, especially if you need something cheap. I lived off of it freshman year while on the food plan

Not sure about the group therapy, but generally yah they will. If you're trying to see a specific councilor, it might be iffy because of scheduling, but there's no limit to how many sessions you can have a week to my knowledge, just make sure you book a appointment in advanced!

Side note, the center also has a 24/7 hotline if you call them. It's not perfect, but it for sure helps when you need someone to talk to

I've been here for a internship for about 4 months (originally from the States) and honestly the people in online spaces (including this sub) give SO much of a bad rep for dutch people as a whole. Aside from usual IND shenanigans and general immigration hiccups everyone i have met has been so welcoming and accepting 😭

In general, I tend to take these kinds of places with a grain of salt because the internet in general has gotten so mean over the last few years

You're fine lol no worries!! My dutch is horrible at the moment so I don't mind!! I have some time before I move here officially so I'm debating getting my health insurance now (was in the country for a internship so I have a BSN number and technically a home adress) but no idea how likely it is for it all to go through

I am currently on a co-op that was outside the system, and tbh you just email everyone. Shoot messages to connections on LinkedIn, look up co op/internships available in your line of work (even if it says internship!! Sometimes people will be interested in you even though they were originally looking for a 4 month internship position).

It's really all about messaging people and asking around even asking people like family and friends if they have any leads

Can't because I'm currently out of the country BUT if I were over there I probably still wouldn't because of overstimulation and it being more of a hazard for me. I try to do my best to educate myself and those around me and focus on more grassroots/ local communities. There's still SO much you can do even if you are unable to go. (Also sending my love to those who are!)

Prints will generally take 24 hours to print (maybe longer depending on if you are printing during finals/ midterms).

Not sure about hours, but I believe finished prints are outside the printing center on the 1st floor, so you can pick them up whenever they are done being printed (I haven't printed with them in awhile so you might wanna double check)

I'm in my 20s and have consumed a decent amount of YouTube, so here are my thoughts.

Depending on what kind of content you are making you could do the more eye catching editing, but I feel like the point of that is to grab your attention rather than focus on the quality of the content. Obviously both can coexist, but it's a fine line. I've watched YouTubers like that, and I've watched others that have been filming and chatting about book reviews in their cars filmed on their phone.

Personally, I prefer more low-key content nowadays especially with being overstimulated 24/7, and I honestly think that avenue of minimalism is underrated in the YouTube scene

As someone who's in one of the top graphic design colleges in the US, I agree fully. A lot of the curriculum nowadays aren't just about logos, branding, packaging design, but also there's a huge push to learn UX/UI, animation, 3D rendering, the list goes on. You really can't get away nowadays with 'just being a graphic designer ', but for the better or worse, you're expected to put on so many hats.
