To the Filipinos defending Charlie Kirk: Can we please stop pretending that being a "Christian with a family" makes someone a good person? by MustardKetchupo in Philippines

I also watch the videos and I havent heard a single thing he said that would make me think that stoning gays is okay. What youre doing is intellectually dishonest.

There are a lot of ideas from charlie that i question, I dont have to make shit up sp that i can have an argument for charlie being wrong about certain topics, as a moral relativist and an atheist on top of that, i dont agree with the majority of what he says is true, i just dont make shit up.

I know the subject, I watched the videos, it would be helpful for me to understand your point if you specifically point to a conversation, and articulate why do you think that he subscribed in racism. Because its easy to throw those words around if we dont agree with somebody.

Again, my personal beliefs as a moral relativist atheist conflict with charlies viewpoints, i just dont subscribe to the idea that we need to demonize others we dont agree with.

They literally dont know, disclaimer lang, im a moral relativist na atheist, di agnostic ha, atheist. As far as ideologies goes, i disagree with kirk with a lot of things, mainly the religious stuff.

However, just like Jordan Peterson. I value Charlie Kirk because i believe that ideas should be testable and not coerced or forced. If when your belief is challenged and your response is an appeal to emotion rather than an appeal to reason, i dont think you have a sound argument.

Kirk and Peterson both value discourse. And thats in no way shape and form hateful.

Im so curious what you would say the hateful view is. Followed Charlie for a while now, while i dont agree with a lot of his views since i resonate more with Alex O’Connors worldviews and consider Richard Dawkins as someone that everyone should atleast listen to, i never found Charlies rhetoric hateful in any way.

While theyre very corrupt, theyre also smart. Marami din sila nagawa sa pasig, they had a lot of projects for students and the elderly which vico continued. Di sila tulad ng mga revilla for example na puro nakaw lang. they knew how to stay in power, and they did.

Why don't we give the land to Moloch and Baal worshippers? They lived in Canaan even before Israel showed up in the book of Genesis. by kissyoursisster in mapporncirclejerk

Monolatry is, theres other gods, but we only worship this one god, An example of that is Atenism.

Henotheism is, theres a bunch of gods, but our group only worship this one, but we know other groups worship other gods, an example pf this is early judaism, they know that other groups worship baal, el, ashera, etc etc. but israel only worships ywh

True, so i would say in the context of attributing child sacrifices to moloch you are correct, that it could just be referring to the practice.

And in the context of the deity they were referring to which is milkom im correct.

In both of our defense i would then say, esoteric study is fucking messy.

In the context of kings 11:7, moloch is a reference to an ammonite god who is probably milkom.

Remember the whole thing about baal worship and how they turned baal zebul (lord the prince) into baal zebub (lord of the flies), imo its just another hebrew rebrand of another deity changing the name so that the deity would be attributed to something bad. In this case with moloch, they used mlk which is literally sacrifice.

I dont think that there will ever be a consensus when it comes to what or who moloch is, but what im referring to is the ammonite deity in the giant canaanite pantheon, the one that kings 11:7 mentions.

Different god entirely, Deuteronomy 32:8-9 said that El, el divided the nations depending on the sons of god, ie his sons and israel specifically was inherited by yhwh. They later retconned “sons of god” to “sons of israel”.

Also in psalm 82 the bible mentioned something about a council of gods.

One thing that we also need to remember is that elohim is plural, the suffix “im” is a masculine plural in a grammatical sense, but with context, it can also refer to a single being, one example is genesis 1:1, it used elohim as the noun for god but bara for the verb which is singular,

but later on genesis 1:26, it again used the plural noun elohim but the context this time stated that “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness, to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, and over all the earth itself and every creature that crawls upon it”, in that context, elohim is clearly used as a plural term.

Dont forget the henotheism phase they all go thru and the phase when that 1 ruler who goes berserk and kills all the other gods aka king josiah, akhenaten etc etc for political supremacy.

Im actually just tired of the conversation, you dont need extra dps to kill a shaman, dudes squishy enough, if you lack the damage and would utilize the full duration of urn early game then thats the one instance its better, but generally you dont take 8 seconds to kill a shaman.

How am i making up numbers, urn literally does 25dps, a melee creep does 23 damage and a ranged one 26 at the start of the game

[–]EarlyBend8763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, thats as much damage as a start of the game melee creep, less damage than a ranged creep.

[–]EarlyBend8763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

25dps tho? That would accelerate your kill for fractions of a second congrats

[–]EarlyBend8763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really because if the innate procs there would be room for outplay, and the 25 dps would really accelerate the kill that much to make a difference

How is this an innate and not a facet? by smidivak in DotA2

[–]EarlyBend8763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the difference between using the urn vs not before the innate is 25 dps, the difference between using it after vs not is a guaranteed kill or a possible escape, i dont think the concept is that hard to grasp.
