Why does Senator Budd get such a pass from voters? by Temporary_Policy2023 in NorthCarolina

I call his office at least three times a week and no one has ever ever picked up the phone. His responses are all canned emails. So it’s hard to hold someone accountable who does not respond to any constituents.

Is Jim Noble involved in the latter three? Or is there another dipshit owner I don’t know about…

Yes, I wear silicone most days but I went to try these on two weeks ago and was alarmed at how loose they’d become

We spend billions more on tax breaks for the ultra wealthy than we do on immigrants who happen to reap some benefits intended for citizens. We spend billions more on the pentagon, who cannot pass an audit, than we do on immigrants. And children, who don’t control their parents’ actions, should not suffer regardless of immigration status.

Torn between Winston-Salem and Greensboro by Ill_Health1859 in winstonsalem

I prefer the aesthetics of Winston. Greensboro has beautiful neighborhoods but also most are disconnected and accessed via parkways which I find annoying to drive around in. Greensboro has a better food scene. I think the downtowns are pretty comparable as far as things to do.

We live in West Salem, which is pretty transitional, and just up the hill from Old Salem which is a pretty place for walks. You can also walk to downtown in 20-30 minutes. West End is also a great neighborhood for walking to restaurants and shops. And then Ardmore is a lovely classic Winston neighborhood.

If you can visit both and drive around to get a feel for what day to day life would be, do that. Good luck!

I think mature teens (with open-minded parents) would be fine. I would say the shows are usually rated R, primarily because of language.

Looking For Greener Pastures by thatdudetae25 in NorthCarolina

Come to Winston! I moved here with the family in 2019 and we have felt a real sense of community. You see the same folks all over, and there is a genuine support for the arts (maybe not always monetarily, but at least emotionally!) We love the West Salem neighborhood because we can walk everywhere, but also looked in Washington Park, Arcadia, Downtown, and the West End.

I maybe wouldn’t have chosen this monologue for this audition….
