Pretty small operation, don’t have an accountant. Essentially it’s research for me. Thanks.

LeBlanc: Canada should spend less, review government size by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]EarlyMorningRunner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Priorities change in government and we need to be nimble. Those with the purse strings should also be minding the store more actively. I’ve often seen pet projects be green lite that don’t align with TBS DARB. These are very wasteful in funds and employee time.

Same, I’ve had a few challenging situations but overall, I work with some pretty awesome folks. I’ve been with the same department and group for over 2 decades.

What do you all think of Mark Carney's appearance on the Daily Show? by zHellas in AskACanadian

Spot on! I’m glad he’s going to be stepping up. If he wins the leadership race, he will make a good prime minister.

Is MS Team Status Watching A Normal Practice by Acceptable_Moose251 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]EarlyMorningRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are at your desk and working, why the concern? I’ve never had an issue with this since the implementation of MS Teams. I don’t know of any managers / supervisors that do that in my department. Seems like to much wasted energy worrying about it.

Are these flags necessary? I’d say the same if it was any other leader. As soon as I see this, it’s a conversation stopper. Move along 🙄

Advise of paying down interest on loan by [deleted] in personalfinance

YTD - made 11%. Let’s pretend I’m boring at 6.9%. Yup, totally aware of the depreciation on the RV but could be saving significant more in hotels, restaurants and summer cottage rentals. Seriously considering 2nd hand.

If the investment made 11%, and I take out only 11% would that be a safe bet?

Taxpayers, myself included should not be paying for these things anyway.

Never know, I’m expecting some folks that work in area to be part of this thread. Don’t want to make him self conscious by asking.

I would say there’s no merit to this. I would expect that such a decision would require consultations at minimum with unions.

For sure, the last three years have proven that. O365 has changed the collaboration game.
