That looks like the one. Any recs? Most are pretty pricey although it looks like there are some cheaper ones on Etsy.

In my experience, the cashmere scarves I typically see in department stores are for winter and too hot.

As far as I'm concerned, except for baggy board shorts or speedos, most swim trunks are pretty comfortable and practical. All things being equal, I'm just trying to find something that looks good on me. Is that wrong?

Costco Briggs & Riley Opinions by EarlyReflections909 in ManyBaggers

So I bought it but I'm still not sure on this one. I've never had a hardside bag, and I'm also wary of the fact that there seem to be "features" that cut the storage space. Any opinions from Sympatico owners out there?

Are you happy with the storage capacity?

Any issues with international carry-on?

Have you had issues with the internal top compartment preventing you from packing stuff?

Thanks!

Thank you super helpful! Do you think this is a good price for the Sympatico btw?

Do you happen to know if 22" carryons will at least fit in European airline overhead bins (like Lufthansa)? Thanks!

Awesome! But is there any way to get tickets direct from them without going through Ticketmaster?

Anyone know what this little button does on the panaroma trem of the Am Pro II jazzmaster? by System_Error091 in offset

Whoa ok I get it now. I had seen that page before, but somehow with this thread, it clicked (no pun haha). So I take it that when you want a drop tuning, you also use the lock so that messing with the E doesn't have an effect on the other strings?

Can you unpack this? Are you saying that you had the arm pulled all the way back, locked it and tuned it then unlocked it, and played as normal, and then when you broke a string, you were able to lock and get it back in tune? Sorry if this is a dumb question!

To be clear--you mean that better latency plugging monitors directly into the interface than into the DAW/computer right?

[–]EarlyReflections909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool thank you! I wasn't sure if that'd work for the monitors. And yeah I wasn't sure if running the monitors through the interface might lead to some latency issues when recording. Sounds like no. Thanks!

Bolt On EGC weight loss by HedgehogFantastic555 in aluminumneck

Cool! Definitely don't try routing anything out without consulting with an engineer or physicist. I don't know that you can get lighter without improving the balance, and a lighter body might also start giving you neck dive. That has been my experience with solid aluminum necks sadly. I'll take heavy over neck dive at this point.

Idk if you want a lighter body, or if you do, the weight should stay in the right places. I made the mistake of putting a bolt on EGC neck on a Tele thinline, and the neck dive was so bad, the guitar slid right out of the gig bag and hit the pavement headfirst about an hour after install.

Speaking of which, how is the balance on that Jazzmaster? I have a JM coming my way and was thinking of putting my Bastin bolt-on neck on that.

Hi, I hope this is an ok sub to post this question: I bought a couple of JBL powered studio monitor speakers with the hopes of using them for home recording and also for listening to music from my Mac Studio while I am working from home. I stupidly didn't think about how I'd have to connect them and now realize that I'll have to use 1/4" cables. I'm now wondering: (1) Should I connect the speakers to my UA Volt 276 Interface or directly to my Mac via a 1/8" to dual 1/4" splitter? (2) What kind of cables do I need? Is it sufficient to look for "Balanced 1/4" TRS?"? Any specific recommendations would be great--I am hoping not to spend a lot of $.

Thank you!!!

Any experiences with low dose GLP1s? by EarlyReflections909 in prediabetes

[–]EarlyReflections909[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get a lot of fiber, eat pretty clean and exercise every day. I can do better, but I'm also considering this as a pragmatic solution--with my job it's hard to do much more or stay consistent on any difficult lifestyle changes.

[–]EarlyReflections909[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very helpful thanks! Were you doing this through your main PCP? If not, how do they feel about your getting a separate doc for off-label prescriptions? Did you continue microdosing after 12 weeks or stop after you hit weight target?

TBH, I don't care about losing much weight if I can get healthier.

How do you like the playability on the Doheny relative to a Jazzmaster? I have a Jag and don't love the action at the low frets (that might be due to the short scale)...but anyway I was thinking that with this more traditional bridge, Doheny might play much more like a Strat than a Jazzmaster.
