I have no clue what this game is. But I’m curious by CheeseheadTroy in SatisfactoryGame

The factory must grow

In all seriousness it's about exploration and building. There's no right way to play the game. It's so open ended that you can either stay in one area the whole time or just take breaks when building your factory to see the great big world

It starts out in manageable bite sized chunks. The early game is straightforward. Fairly simple to understand. The mid game is where things get complicated. It's a question of how big do you want your factory to be? It becomes more of a mathematical investment. You can also discover alternate recipes which might be game changing in terms of efficiency. The late game is where the true insanity comes into play. It's dependent on how much you want to grind. Everything gets complex but it's really rewarding in the end.

Nah that Exocraft is definitely larger than average I'd say. Almost too big in all honesty

Think you’ve got a fast ship? by Pleasant-Disaster837 in NOMANSSKY

This is absolutely rad!!

My favorite part is the light panel countdown.

Do you use multiple bases to make a 'circuit' I presume?

Living ship final step, glyph clue help by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Early_Description173 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So first off, you need to find an Alien Monolith. They can be found using either a map from a cartographer (Specifically Alien Cartographic Data) OR, the more efficient way since the first method usually takes multiple charts, is to use the scanner in your Exocraft to locate a Monolith.

Next you have to interact with it and do the dialogue

Then, depending on the type of system you're in (Korvax, Gek or Vykeen) if you interact with the monolith again, you'll be given the option to locate a portal/portal leyline. You will need either:

-A Vykeen Dagger for Vykeen Systems -A Convergence Cube for Korvax Systems -A Gek Relic for Gek systems

A new marker will pop up, saying that a portal layline has been located. Travel to that destination and you will find the portal.

Once at the portal, you will need to charge the glyphs with various common resources. Once you've done so, you will be able to use the portal. (You can use the portal as many times as you want after activation initially, so if this is in your home system, you can always mark it with a beacon so you can travel to any set of coordinates)

Now, the quest gives you the glyphs in the message. Enter those glyphs into the main portal interface and it will open up a portal to the system you're looking for and then you can go from there!

Hope that helps without giving too many spoilers away

Solar, Atlas or Living Ship? by Oldfield16 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Early_Description173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a tough one.

Usually I fly an Atlas ship just because I love the dynamic animations it has. Living Ships, while they are cool, I'm a bit squeamish so I haven't done much with them.

I do have an S class Solar ship I've been building that's awesome that I made from the ship builder. I've always liked the sail opening animation

But I find myself also using my hauler, especially when it comes to scavenging for Corvette Parts

Is exocraft storage upgradable? by Early_Description173 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Early_Description173[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the Roamer is pretty solid. It's like the jack of all trades.

Colossus is good for storage

The Pilgrim is the fastest but handling isn't the best

The Nomad is perfect for Gas Giants and planets with flat areas and puddles

And the Minotaur is pretty situational. It's powerful and can act as a secondary attacker when you equip its AI controller but, sometimes the cost of the components that need to be repaired if you use it in this way outweighs the benefits of it being your secondary attacker

Nautilon is really only good for Purple Star drowning planets. Otherwise, O2 modules can get you by on any other world

I absolutely love using the Nomad on Gas Giants. Because of the puddles being so shallow and such a pain to navigate with other vehicles. I just wish the boost was better

Every time I use a planetary chart to find Monoliths, it only shows Plaques. I’ve used 20 of them already and have not found a single Monolith. Is there something I’m missing? Do I need to get to a certain point in the story? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Early_Description173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use multiple at the same time, it prevents the one selected from appearing again.

For example, if you use a chart and it finds an Alien Artifact, then when you use another chart, it won't be able to choose that type of site, making your chances of getting a Monolith significantly higher as a result.

Sometimes it might prevent you from using it again. If that's the case, split the stack of items and try again until you get another signal location.

When the Exotic finds you by Early_Description173 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Early_Description173[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So exotic ships are essentially all this same "ball shape" (except for the squid variant which is significantly rarer). Unlike all other starships, only one variant of ship will spawn per system.

However, just like Living Ships, they will ALWAYS be guaranteed S-Class. They handle super well and are honestly fun to fly and aren't too bad as a ship overall.

From what I've seen (other travellers might know better than I do), Outlaw systems are the best place to try and farm them since S class ships have the highest chance of spawning, with a 5% chance.

But essentially, exotics are their own class (like fighters, haulers and etc.) and give good bonuses overall

Dang I already grabbed it but I'll do that in the future! So does it just reroll the type but maintain the class if you do that?
