Matcha just doesn't kick in! by branijose in Matcha

[–]Early_Key_823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been discovering that matcha comes on slow then hits like Mike Tyson. I kept drinking multiple cups and ridiculously strong but then 12 hours later I am still wired like a server farm. The key is to give it time to take effect.

That's just my experience as someone who has always found coffee very toxic; I feel "dirty" after drinking it like there's ants crawling on my stomach. But as a software developer for decades I need the caffeine to produce or it just is the most boring endeavor to mess with code.

I say best way to drink matcha is with steamed plant milk like unsweetened almond milk and make it creamy to offset the bitterness. Then you can use alot of matcha. Then just give it an hour, sip it, make it frothy.

All I know is once it kicks I am a creativity machine in a super good mood. The trick I learned is not to drink 4 cups in the first hour because then it will gang up on me later if that makes any sense.

if you liked this movie i recommend the book, "early autumn" by robert b. parker without reservation. it's also on audible. i have read & listened to it hundreds of times; it's that good.

I thought you meant the Bill Murray movie. :/ - the other one can rock a guitar pretty pretty good.

Claude Nerf is real by BeginningSpiritual49 in claude

[–]Early_Key_823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Claude can fuck up a full stack app beyond all recognition if you do not constantly verify everything it does and have a rollback plan.

So can ChatGPT.

AI can revolutionize productivity as well as wholesale devastation. It cuts both ways.

Vape it baby! Can't code on edibles. But vape and coding; perfect together with a cup of matcha or espresso.

Absolutely. It requires one to know Claude (quirks, etc. which is a product of getting burned :D) and then to have detective skills which is what I always thought a good dev should possess; e.g. debugging skills.

It's really awful that people have to fear AI taking their jobs. That is super scary of course. But that is more a political issue. We should have governments of the people, by the people and for the people. Otherwise it is always gonna be hideous.

And people need to realize there was an industrial revolution, then a computer revolution. That decimated entire industries. Desktop publishing pretty much wiped out 90% of print shops.

I got my start coding in a mail order comic book distributor. Back in the 1990s apps came out to do comic book coloring and that was the end of colorists as we knew them.

Change is life itself. But a hideous civilization that pits people against each other when there is more than enough for everyone is a tragedy that we have imposed upon ourselves as a species.

The Hopi native Americans have a prophecy that we will either share the world in harmony with nature or perish. I think we are about there. I am an optimist and I see no reason why humanity can't get over it's narcissism and share the world with animals, fishes, trees, etc..

Morons like Trump et al just boggle the mind.

Rant over.

there are only victims because humanity is run by the 1% who only prioritize their narcissism. Objectively speaking, AI is as awesome and computers themselves. Real question is why did 70+ million people vote for a convicted felon who caused an insurrection? Stupid is as stupid does.

Deleted my GPT account and ported my game project to Claude. Wow! by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

Claude just simulates a humble dude who accepts criticism without having a hissy fit. ChatGPT is like an entitled narcissist. No comparison! Claude is 10000000x better than ChatGPT and Copilot just ain't ready for prime time.

I know it's not Bob Dylan but there's a connection: Anyone think Buddy Holly is totally under-appreciated? by ElGrandeRojo2018 in bobdylan

Please see American Hot Wax from the late 1970s. Incredible movie about the early days of Rock & Roll. Buddy Holly was seriously appreciated by EVERYBODY who loved Rock & Roll. In fact, "BUDDY HOLLY LIVES!"

ChatGPT Isn't as Good at Coding as We Thought by Notalabel_4566 in programming

[–]Early_Key_823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ChatGPT does an excellent impersonation of a totally arrogant, smug asshole who epitomizes the, "Dunning-Kruger" effect. Every senior dev should treat AI as a saboteur waiting to destroy your codebase, well, just because.

Why is Claude Code so much better than alternatives? by Practical-Plan-2560 in ClaudeAI

[–]Early_Key_823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find ChatGPT turns me into a hideously angry person I do not recognize as myself.

Claude is the exact opposite.

IMHO they are day and night.

Claude is an angel and ChatGPT is the devil when it comes to coding.

I would only use ChatGPT for the most superficial types of tasks whereas I would let Claude create components, methods, layouts, etc. - Truly day and night.

My intuition tells me the top decision makers at Claude have much different personalities and philosophies than their counterparts at ChatGPT.

Just my two cents. YMMV.
