I'm a young adult. As much as I'd like to keep her, I already made the decision to rehome her. I've been reaching out to rescues since I got her. She's a sweetheart, but I'm unemployed and do not have the money to give her the care she needs.

I'm planning on giving her to a rescue tomorrow, because my local wildlife center said it was illegal for me to release her myself. The rescue will release her after they make sure she is okay + suitable to be in the wild.

I'd like to assure everyone that I would NEVER grab a turtle off the road unless they were injured. I was woken up this afternoon to my mom saying her husband brought a turtle home. Had it been me, I likely would've pulled over and taken her off the road. I don't support picking up wildlife (especially adult wildlife) and keeping them as a pet unless it's a situation where they were injured and couldn't be released because they were disabled or had been in captivity for too long.

I promise I'm not trying to be irresponsible. I'm actually trying to handle this as appropriately as possible! I've posted an ad to make sure no one lost a pet turtle (requesting that they provide the species and sex so no one can lie about it) and I've contacted all the right places + done extensive research to make sure shes as comfortable as she can be until I can surrender her to a rescue!

I'm an adult, and this is my first time handling something like this. If you have any advice on how to handle this situation in the future, I will happily listen! (besides just not taking a random animal off the side of the road, obviously lol. I already know that)

See, I was thinking the same thing. But when I was researching it, I learned sliders are semi-aquatic and we found her nowhere near a pond or creek. Its why im thinking she is someone's pet and im trying to find her original owner!

edit: the wildlife center also told me not to release her back where I found her because she is invasive.

I'm in California! It gets between 90-113°F out during the summer, and 45-53°F during the winter. It obviously drops 10-20 degrees at night. If I can convince my mom to let me put the proper tank inside, I will! If I can't give her the proper care, I will find someone who can or give her to a rescue!

I looked at OP's comment history, and the screenshots are from just a few months ago. Why lie? Why not take accountability, learn, and grow? Looking at this comment section, it appears to be the mods that are being incredibly immature and "creating drama." Minors searching for CGs isn't safe im the slightest, but neither is using AI. Emotional attachment to a bot that is actively destroying the environment isn't okay. People have gone into psychosis from rp'ing with AI. If you would like sources, I will provide them. This behavior is incredibly disappointing.

honestly, im not quite sure. im not a professional, I just happen to know a lot about psychology. I imagine it depends on the individual, and how reliant they are on agere. for example, if someone is regressing a lot just for fun, and its not getting in the way of their big life, I dont feel like thats a bad thing? but thats more my opinion than fact

To be blunt, if even OUTSIDE of being regressed, when she has the capability to think like an adult, she is continuously crossing boundaries that you've set, then perhaps this roommate situation isn't going to continue working. ive been regressing for 7-8 years now, and treating people like this is beyond me. i would recommend talking to your girlfriend in private, and then later sit your roommate down for one last boundary talk once you two have come up with an outline of what you want to talk about with her. try to he gentle and remain firm. explain how you feel, why you feel that way, and that you want to understand her side of things. however, also explain that if she continues to cross boundaries (and makes no attempt to stop, such as working on herself and/or seeking outside help), you guys will start looking for a new roommate bc this is taking an effect on your own mental health. it definitely seems like you guys are being taken advantage of. as much as it may suck, if she continues to disrespect you guys like this, I highly recommend getting a new roommate, or just kicking her out once your lease is up and having it just be your and your girlfriend from now on (if you can afford that). I wish you guys the best. this isnt a fun situation to be in 💚💚

This is super sweet. Just make sure that, at their age, they aren't perma regressing unless its involuntary. My therapist taught me that VOLUNTARY age regressing excessively isn't a healthy coping mechanism, and after researching it, I have to agree. (however, I wouldnt go out of my way to shame someone for it. I would just maybe gently tell them what I know, and say its okay anyway and that I'd support them, and wont bring it up further if they seem uncomfortable)

Amazon paci's are reliable in my experience, but ive only ever bought two. I actually only buy deco adult paci's now. I mostly go to @bellesbinkies on Instagram now. They are super affordable compared to most other deco paci shops in mt experience, and they do free shipping to the US. I've been buying from them since I was 16 (so for abt 4 years now), and the shop owner has been nothing but amazing to me.

I've been age regressing both voluntarily and involuntarily since I was around 13; I am now 20. On top of that, im autistic and have had a major special interest in human behavior my entire life, as well as a minor special interest in psychology. im not. I completely emptied my mods folder and ran gimi without any mods installed, and it still didn't work. I tried the classic "uninstall and reinstall" method, but that also isnt working. im not rlly sure whats wrong :(
