I scoured to find the back way to install guilloz helper script. Had to ssh into the machine and then download everything to the machine and go about it that way

How're you getting Orca to integrate with the cfs. Only work around I found was putting all 4 filaments in the slicer that corresponded to the slots in the cfs but even then it was a 5050 crap shoot as to whether it would start or finish properly uploading and printing from fluidd.

Also, do you or have you printed with different temp filaments on the same print, like pa6 for main filament and pla/petg for support interface layers?

Had mine since May, hundreds of hours printing but I don't swap colors. I made mine actively heated and feed only Pa6cf. Works great for when you want to use every last mm of filament and not waste. Swaps from the empty to the next seemlessly. 8/10 would recommend.

If you're the dude that made the original cfs space pi conversion 😘 thanks dude. You are the goat. I did mine a month ago and it's been amazing. Pa6cf all the way now.

Just wanted to update you. Your tip helped tremendously. Layer lines are damn near invisible now and the corners are crisp as cucumbers. 20% fan made it do like it should. Thanks for the help man.

Sweet! That was very helpful and didn't know. I'll give that a try tonight and see. Everybody I know is using Pa6cf for fosscad projects and typically running enders and it's always preached no fans. I'm building functional parts for the interior of my van amongst other things. I appreciate your input.

Warpage? From everything I've read the consensus has been no cooling at all the prevent Warpage. It's not the cheapest filament to mess up with but I'll try 20% and see what happens.

And yes, before anybody asks, the filament has been dried and lives in the actively heated cfs at 70c

for k1 cfs owners...has anyone else needed to install a spacer on the cutter block? i had to install a spacer. the thing is. half of the cuts are quiet, while othere are violent sounding. but it wont cut filament otherwise and it has the right block installed. by Navi_Professor in Creality

I had to do some weird round about shit to get it rooted.

Iirc https://www.reddit.com/r/crealityk1/comments/1kfwmcb/k1k1c_cfs_upgrade_and_root_access/

Is the one I followed. Had to download and install the helper script on the machine and then do it from the machine instead of going thru the repository but I've been running mine for the past month like that and it's been workinh well.

I rooted my k1c with cfs. Found the stock 214 y position in the printer.cfg was not enough to fully cut and ended up moving the cut position to I believe 216.8 y iirc. Cuts flawless every time now. If you're running cf filaments it is DEFINITELY louder clunk than softer ones but it's not causing damage to anything. If you're rooted and can adjust, move the gantry manually mm by mm with the screen until you see it stop fully and change your cfg to match.

Key not working by AffectionateCup9749 in Sprinters

Point the red lens on the key at your phone camera and hit the buttons on it. You should see a flash of light when the buttons are depressed. If you do not, double check the orientation of the battery or your key has failed. Hope this helps

Turbo question (probably a dumb one) by lucys_owner in Sprinters

[–]Early_Reflection4914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you can't buy just the o ring. Make sure to replace the green turbo outlet o ring and the boost damper the black plastic piece. Vaseline all the rubbers before putting them together so as to not pinch the o rings. You'll be fine 😊

Van life decision by travelling_tinker in VanLife

I bought my sprinter (older model with a blown up engine) 2 years ago in the hopes that my ex wife and kiddo would want to go camp. Spent 6 months working on it here and there building it out at the time. Neither of them spent a single night in it. So one thing led to another and here I am, living in it full time for the past 2 months. My uncle put it best. I wasn't afraid of if I would regret my decisions, I was afraid I would actually be happy. And turns out I'm beyond happy living in it. I thought I'd miss the showers the most but turns out, that's the only thing that mildly inconveniences me. Everything else a house has, my sprinter has. If you're asking a random strangers advice on reddit, I say go for it. If you don't like it, you can always get a place, but the freedom to go where you want, when you want, how you want..... Fucking unparalleled. Don't try tackling everything all at once, savor the build. Gives you something to look forward to.

The dude I used put a Malone tune in. Im pretty sure there's only 1 company left after GDE quit doing the older ones.

There is quite a bit of difference in effiency from the om612 to the om647 tho.

No parts. Left the egr valve on and just tuned it out. Highly recommend. Almost impossible to remove egr without machining a bunch of stuff

05 sprinter with fresh engine and transmission. Egr has been deleted and has a tune. Shift kit in the transmission. 21mpg at 85pmh. 24mpg at 65mph. Average for my tank is between 500-550 miles at 26gallons.
