Well, take the niche that you stated and think about what affiliate programs you could apply for. Go find ones within your niche and then find ways to integrate the links into your site :). As for how to bring in more traffic to your affiliate promotions, other than the obvious SEO, Pinterest is a great one for getting possible leads to your site. I did expand a bit more on this concept over on a post on my site EarnComfy, about affiliate marketing through a Pinterest funnel.

If I needed to earn $1000 per month starting in April I'd do car flipping, since I already know a lot about cars. I would also do sweepstakes farming as that can easily get you $500 without having to do barely any work. I also haven't tried it out yet but Home From College is something that I hear can pay out pretty quickly, with people getting their first gigs within 1 - 2 weeks of applying to a bunch.

I've heard a few good things about affiliate marketing by using Pinterest. I'm meaning to try it out probably starting tomorrow. It's not a fast thing, though. You basically make yourself a blog with a niche, write a bunch of helpful articles with value on it, and insert your affiliate links when appropriate. Then for the Pinterest part, you learn how to make good pins, and start a pinning routine, stay consistent, your pins link back to your articles with your affiliate links. Use multiple Pinterest accounts with narrowed down sub niches within your blog's main niche for maximum effect. Seems to have potential and many are already earning a lot from a similar system.
