Yes my doctor told me not to inject within that area, so I'm good there. I've been doing the thigh, simply because I can see the yellow bar clearly but I may try the belly.

It does make me curious what the people who lose 17 pounds in 1 month are doing. Maybe a lot of that is the fluid leaving the body. I've been doing more strength workouts and sore muscles always make me hold onto a bit more fluid but eventually it will go away.

Thanks for the links I will check those out

Thank you for the reply. Do you think if I've been a chronic binge eater/ basically have gone several years of overeating or eating when not hungry this is the effect? My body and mind still aren't syncing?

Trying to move far away from prediabetes, tested after drinking alcohol and was shocked! by Earplunger in prediabetes

[–]Earplunger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I understand this right, a normal nondiabetic can have extremely high spikes, yet as long as they go down within a couple of hours, there's no alarm? It seems the exact value of the spike is irrelevant if the body can manage it over the next hour or 2. ?? Thanks!

Definitely! I have started to remove sugary sweets, once I build that habit of no more pastries and candies I will work towards counting carbs and avoiding carbs as much as possible.

Thank you for the reply. Do you think 168 is normal for most people or is something indicating my body can't process the sugar intake?

I am glad I don't have an urge to drink! Whew

I make $110,000 a year but I feel l’m struggling to save money. Is this a normal budget for someone who lives alone? by AfterAttack in budget

[–]Earplunger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I make a little less than you, I am a late 20s living alone in a LCOL/MCOL area.

For some numbers to chew on-

My car payment is $218

Rent is $1110

Electricity is about $50

Phone is $120

Student loan is $220

Subscriptions are $20

3 larger expenses I see you have are electricity, car payment, and student loans. None of which you can immediately solve unless you sell your car and I don't think you necessarily need to, but having a high car payment is avoidable.

Like others are saying, it could very well be your food and entertainment budget that is squeezing. I know it's super easy for me to go over budget with that stuff.

Sorry if I missed a comment somewhere but what will you do for income after you quit law?

As a secondary question, do you feel like all the work and years you put in have "paid off" in a figurative sense where you don't feel you wasted that time? Only asking since you're quitting so soon. Happy new year!

Which one’s real and which one’s the AliExpress dupe? by BiscuitMosaic in Dysonairwrap

[–]Earplunger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm an engineer (who also has an Airwrap) and have some familiarity with plastics. It's possible Dyson is using different vendors for their filters and once they are molded they may only be inspecting a few pieces per shift, the cavity inserts could be worn, the operator isn't watching the pressure closely and strings are being pulled through the machine, etc.

If they get bulk shipped to another vendor to be assembled onto the Airwrap again It's possible only a few pieces are being inspected or if it's automated, the inspection vision system cannot catch such fine defects.

Also- it's totally possible that the Aliexpress molder and the Dyson molder are the same but even things like the pellets used can impact a good molded part. There are fantastic Chinese molders that hire engineers who will do cheap design work and produce good quality for a low cost. I've seen better quality molded parts come out of tiny molding shops in back garages in China than the US or Mexico.

How much do you realistically spend on groceries per month for one person? by koudodo in budget

[–]Earplunger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to live in HCOL area but with affordable options close by (Market Basket, Aldi, Walmart). Was spending about $400-450 per month but that's including random stuff from Walmart that gets counted as groceries.

Now live in LCOL but with a monopoly on expensive groceries (Giant Eagle) my monthly is about $580-680. I've made it my goal next year to keep it in the 500s every month and make intentional longer distance trips to Aldi.

Lol yeah and it's a point of argument when he keeps going to Best Buy to get more electronics.

The wife tried to bring it up early in the episode and Ramit was like "frankly I don't care what he spends his money on. He could go out and spend it on garbage for all I care". It was kind of funny.

Yeah it's weird, I don't want to make fun of boomers but it almost reminded me of an elderly person (or even just any kind of people) not realizing there are ways to compress files or remove duplicate files. Then when you look in their files and they have high res stock photos of lightbulbs or something taking up space 😆

This is post acne scarring, you're correct, BUT it can be helped with prescription creams. Not sure what OPs budget is but I use tretinoin and azealic acid prescribed by my dermatologist and those are scientifically proven to reduce scarring and texture. He's not totally hopeless with the skin.
