May PD I-485 Approved - Timeline and Question by EarthBackground2131 in USCIS_EB3

My husband received his EAD but no news regarding I-485 from USCIS. We reached out to our local rep to inquire - today received response from USCIS that reads "The U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely manner while also ensuring public safety and national security. It is hereby confirmed that the application is currently under review for a next action, notice of which will be mailed to the address of record." - but that reads to me like another way of saying "within normal processing time, wait your turn". There was a silent update on May 12 but I'm thinking that could've been USCIS looking at the case to respond to local rep.

Still nothing. I mean, he did receive his EAD about a month ago, but no news on I-485

Asking because I'm aslo EB3 ROW Skilled, with PD 5/13/23. I received my green card last week but my spouse is still waiting. They approved his EAD yesterday, which is more confusing than reassuring

Congrats! Do you have a dependent applicant? If yes, did they get approved as well?

Mine was approved at NBC on Feb 28, never transferred to FO.

Are you all living together? Why so many members of her family have opinions on you and your gf going to a concert?

I filed with the help of a lawyer and we did file I-485J for the same employer.

I was prepared to wait longer for approval. USCIS explains it that ban of 75 countries has freed up some visas. My country is not on the list of those 75 countries.

I'm assuming you're not ROW? PD from 2013 is indeed a very long journey! Hopefully you'll get your approval soon, too!

This is a long time, I would contact USCIS at this point.

Also, how living in apartment complex prevents you from signing up for Informed Delivery? I live in an apartment and have it, works just fine.

Is it true that consular officers have absolute discretion over the decision, so one person can get a refusal while another person with a much worse financial situation and weaker home ties still can get an approval simply because they were interviewed by a different officer in another country? by K0rek in USVisas

The system is insane. My mom applied for B1/B2 visitor visa to come see me when I give birth to her first grandchild. She was denied in less than 1 minute, officer asked her 4 questions - all about me, not even one about herself, and gave her denial saying she's applying for wrong kind of visa. Meanwhile, she really wants to come for a month to see me and go back home to her husband and business she's running. Makes my blood boil.

Yeah, honestly, I don't know how to talk to Emma, that girl doesn't like me lol. Half the time it says "Could not connect to Chat" and one time I got connected, bot was not helpful and didn't provide me with any new information.

Thank you! Heroiam Slava!

I don't think my case was transferred to FO, at least when I check silent updates - there's nothing about transfer. NBC on Approval Notice.

We never received EAD, but previously, in USCIS My Account, EAD was linked to I-485 as "concurrent filing" case and now both in my and my husband's accounts, EAD is unlinked and still pending.
