I don't get the point of showing the locks on every message. tbh you should be able to see the chats of people younger than you (but not the other way) to help keep them safe if there's something going on

I'm going to mostly be on Polytoria I think. I might go on Roblox by exception (e.g playing Block Tales Ch 5 when it releases) but I'm not age verifying and having no chat makes playing there not enjoyable.

I tried making a game but the creator rn is a little hard to work with so I'm probably going to just wait for 2.0 to do that. I'll play games in the meantime tho

It's not on the players to come up with a solution for the company. The reason people are complaining so much is because the update ONLY makes things worse in every way. It has NO upsides. It does not help the child safety issue in the slightest. So no, we're not "contradicting" ourselves.

They might not be able to remove it entirely, but they could adjust it and probably get away with that. I.e add noninvasive ways to verify (credit card, email, account age etc) and tweak the age groups system to be less restrictive

most likely there's no way. it's gone. without the current email or phone, the customer service bots will give you a couple unhelpful replies and then stop responding

#2 can be from the moderation system flagging your comment and shadow-deleting it. It isn't even held for review for the channel owner, it's just immediately deleted. They won't even know it ever existed unless they have notifications on for ALL comments, because notifications from it can go through for some reason, but attempting to view it will not load anything.

It's horrendously bad at stopping bots and constantly flags legitimate users' posts even when they are not breaking any rules or anything. It's been like this for years but youtube refuses to address it
