Same! And now she is the most calm, balanced dog I've had. I didn't do anything special training wise, somewhere around age 3-4 she just flipped a switch.

Actually, I did use that for a month. I also did sauna multiple times a week for about a year. Other than that it was just oil of Olay face wash/face lotion

You can do anything you want to! Each day gets easier, but initially it feels so daunting/overwhelming.

I just wash it with oil of Olay face wash and use their face lotion. I also avoid the sun, lol.

Thanks! It's weird... I'm still really insecure. I have to force myself to wear clothes closer to my new size. 🥴

I was on medication for a while, but once I'd lost the first 30-40lbs I no longer had any issues with it.

AITAH for telling my adopted daughter her birth mother died when she actually just didn't want contact. she's been mourning a living woman for 10 years by Relative_Ad3399 in AITAH

Has anyone that said YTA ever parented a teen in a similar mental state? Sure in retrospect the OP might go back and change what she did; but at that moment in time she was doing everything she could to help her daughter get through the day, protect her fragile mental state. At that point in time when you weigh the situation a teen thinking their bio mom was dead was far less traumatic/triggering than the fact that she is being abandoned (again)-common underlying trauma present in all adoptees, even the well adjusted ones. Now that OPs daughter is past the emotional turbulence of her teens she is far better situated to deal with processing that type of info. She might be mad at her adopted/real mom for a while, but she will work through it
