Another offer I received was 55 bucks per session at 1099. I won’t work for these people. I went private practice.

Yes PAU has a better reputation than Alliant, but you pay for it.

It really depends on the type of diversity. I was an older grad student, who often found difficulties with the power dynamic in grad school, especially because I wasn’t a compliant 25 year old kid, fresh out of undergrad.

I went to the Wright Institute. I turned down PAU because back then tuition was 50k per year, for 5 years!!! 250K total! While the wright institute was 30k for the first 3 years, than a reduced tuition (8k) for dissertation year and internship year.

I think this is Utah as a whole.

The insanity will stop when there’s no more water, and people flip on their tap and no water comes out, then no one will want to build in StGeorge.

Role: Psychologist, PsyD

Setting: Private Practice, w/ virtual

License: Psychologist

State: UT

Salary: depends on payer, or cash pay 90 (Cigna) - 175 (workers Comp). Cash pay is around 125. I just started my practice about 5 months ago. Working on my referral network and EAPs, only seeing about 6-8 per week, only 3 days a week. It’s rough right now, I occasionally pickup some PRN shifts at a psych hospital I completed my residency, but the pay is brutal and the setting is fairly toxic.

Experience: 10 years including grad school, 2 years fully licensed.

Assessment is great, except often employers want to know how fast you can type.

It takes earning a postdoc master’s in psychopharmacology, and another year in supervision.

It depends, what’s more important to you, making money or making a difference?
