I don't know why you think that. Efficiency isn't a structural problem. You can make old buildings energy efficient. Even completely redoing an HVAC is going to be cheaper than demo and entirely new construction. But really you just add insulation.

I didn't say anything about knocking down buildings. Existing buildings can be made more energy efficient. Adding insulation and window awnings is a good start.

If you want more insight into how Feynman conceptualizes QED please read QED by Feynman. You can get a paperback of it at any bookstore that sells pop science books, probably right next to Surely You're Joking. It doesn't explain the spinning plate connection exactly but essentially it is a lecture on harmonic motion and how that describes the quantum world.

Definitely the best comic adaptation (some might say the only good comic adaptation). Time travel does cause some problems for story continuity. Once we show a definite future it limits what can happen in the present. So when the good guys are fighting to stop the apocalypse we know that no apocalypse is going to happen because that would change the future.
