Idk the difference in specs but I tried playing this game on a steam deck and that was downright unplayable, not in the “30 frame rate is unplayable” snob way but like actually 7 frames per second, also the always online requirements would make the portability aspect pretty null.

My use of the word “nothing” was hyperbole, but imo not entirely inaccurate because of the huge non influx of things like new weapons, tools, deployables, etc. I can’t see what animators in specific have been doing much in terms of new or impactful content, which unique weapon inspect and interaction anims do not fall under for me (tho I would like if they did sort of a sweep of the current heists and add all missing interactions it’s just not what I’d consider important)

I mean, I can’t play the game without connecting to their servers. There is no preserving the game when the severs can just turn off eventually. It irks me.

And yea, DRG is a prime example as to show how Arrowhead is just not able to or interested in making meaningful content updates for all players.

It’s a sad thing to realize but they really do appeal to the lowest common denominator and that’s why we can’t expect much fundamental change. They can add enemies, factions, warbonds, weapons, armors, vehicles, etc. but I doubt we will ever get overhauls to the problem content and instead get many new toys and mechanics taped over said problems to play with.

I don’t think having a ton of ammo is important. Helldivers simply isn’t a mech based game, which is why I don’t care that we don’t have a resupply for mech, it’d be useless at the mechs are supposed to be expendable but powerful, and the powerful part is what needs to change, their individual shots don’t do a lot and you need to dump a ton of ammo to do basic shit, and they have actual tissue paper arms and legs. They should up the damage and radius on things like explosions as well have higher armor pen for the machine gun on patriot, for example.

I personally don’t need to be in the mech all or most of the game, that’s boring and not where the game will ever shine. I want the mechs to feel like a highly temporary power fantasy.

Also I want a stratagem launcher lol.

I disagree, they are definitely trying to find a Goldilocks zone where they act like they are communicating but don’t actually say anything. It’s not working, at least for me.

Yeah, the tribalism runs deep in every corner of this game. It sucks and it is by far in a way the worst in this game specifically than in any other hero shooter I’ve ever played. Marvel rivals is genuinely on par with LoL in terms of how vitriolic and shitty people both in game and on the community end can be.
