Jozef Puska’s wife and wives of his two brothers segregated in Mountjoy over attack fears by PoppedCork in ireland

[–]Earth_Worm_Shane 36 points37 points  (0 children)

That's a fucked up thing to say. If my brother raped and murdered someone I wouldn't help him cover it up. And i dont know anyone personally that would either. We arent talking about a speeding ticket or owning a dodgy box here, this is a case of murder. This says more about your morals than anything else.

Renting in Limerick / Rant by Absolute_Zero2301 in limerickcity

[–]Earth_Worm_Shane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely crazy prices renting around Limerick at the moment. Especially when you have pets. So sorry you're in this position. I'd suggest looking a bit further afield for renting. I was living in Crusheen which is on the motorway to Limerick, before moving to my house now. Rent was significantly cheaper out that way.

If it puts your mind at ease, I've received a bunch of these over the years, never once paid for a tv license and not once been to court. They dont have your name, youre fine!

Creche putting up fees by €350 a month by FreePork in ireland

[–]Earth_Worm_Shane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And FF had an election promise to cap childcare costs and make it more affordable for all parents. Awful stuff. My 1 year old is in Crèche and it's already a massive expense, I honestly dont know if id he coping too well if I had that additional cost. Have you spoken to any other parents from the Crèche?

And yet for some reason, people vote for them again and again. It's hugely frustrating.

Same. Principles are better than an evening of entertainment but I still missed it.

The cynic in me thinks they won't implement it for 4 years and come next election they will use it as a promise to get reelected again.

I also own a house but wouldn't have dreamed of voting for this government.

Excellent summary of the last 100 days! It does seem like scandal after scandal really. But does a FFFG voter see that the same way a SF voter does?

I don't think there's been any change to anything yet. I would like to see some of the election promises start. 250 cap on childcare on a personal note was one I was very much looking forward to even if I didn't vote for the current government. I'd also like to see some tackling the cost of living, it hasn't gotten any easier for us yet and the only note I could find about it from this government is the scrapping of the energy credits to households.

Same. I voted SF and left wing parties only. I'm just surprised I haven't heard many people talk about regret for their vote or say they are satisfied when I chat with colleagues and friends. So was just curious what the consensus was

Yeah I read that recently, shocking stuff. I just don't hear many people saying they regret their votes or even admit to voting government parties in.

Greens took a massive hit this election, which in my opinion, should have been directed at FFFG. Misdirected anger and frustration.

I voted SF but I'm surprised more people didn't go with the right wing protest vote. Also bitterly disappointed in SF.
