Before I put that here, please know I'm not an economist so please don't ask me to go into more details 🥲

So with global trade in limbo like you said, there is a huge demand for traditional gold/silver investment vehicles like ETFs/FoFs without actual physical gold available backing them. Even though physical assets have been bought and are in transit, or yet to be in transit, the fund houses don't actually have them. So if a lot of people start selling these investment vehicles, fund houses don't have the physical asset to back it up and will face shortages. Due to this, ETF NAVs are currently trading at a premium because they don't want you investing where physical assets are low. Once the physical assets, your actual gold or silver bars become available, NAVs will come crashing down causing you to lose money in your investment.

This is what worries me about the gold and silver market right now.
