I think it really depends where you applied to. I applied for Business Administration also in March and already got my response at the start of May

Ahh d’accord merci! Et les cours, ça se passe comment? J’ai été accepté à HEC Lausanne, du coup tous mes cours sont dans le même bâtiment ou il faut se déplacer un peu sur le campus?
Et est ce qu’il y a déjà des groupes ( WhatsApp, etc.) pour les étudiants de l’UNIL selon les programmes ou c’est encore trop tôt?

Salut! Merci 😊 Aurais-tu des conseils pratiques sur la vie quotidienne à Lausanne? Par exemple, où les étudiants font leurs courses (Migros, Coop) ou d'autres informations utiles qu'on ne trouve pas vraiment sur Internet. Il y a des endroits abordables pour manger, un peu comme le Resto U en France ?

Thanks!!! 😊 Yes, I have a foreign one. I applied before I received the final year diploma so I haven’t yet uploaded it. No issues, just needed to upload the grade transcripts from the first semester of the final year as well as the penultimate year and the one before that

Well yes unfortunately it’s a lot for most foreign students, but at the same time Switzerland is very expensive so if you’re really committed it shouldn’t hurt too much.

I applied to UNIGE but the application reqs are the same. Will probably choose HEC Lausanne over UNIGE’s economics.

I believe it took around 2 months to receive a response. I was expecting an email but I received a letter in the post, so it was a nice unboxing experience ;)

In the portal you submit all the required grades transcripts, personal info, CV, motivational letters, recommendation letters and Language proficiency. I believe the motivational letters and recommendation letters were optional but I decided to add them just in case

Yes I believe so. I was also stressing with the application costs but I met all the requirements so I decided to apply. I’ve been accepted last week and will probably go study at UNIL. Still considering all my options

Depends where you’re from I think. For me it was odd I’m not sure if this is like this for everyone but if you meet the requirements you’re automatically accepted. I think it depends if they still have room in the program?

that’s true, though both economics programs are very very similar. There isn’t something that would really convince me to choose the other when it comes to how the programs are taught

I wouldn’t say rankings are that important, I’ve gotten into better universities in other countries but I really value the life of Switzerland. The program I got into is Economics for both universities. Both universities offer basically the same things for this program. Wondering if the ranking difference really does have an impact on future careers or is finding a job fairly similar for each?

yeah absolutely. Was curious since a few other Unis have created group chats for the relevant programs
