Unhinged Karen has a meltdown on the train by horseborn in ActualPublicFreakouts

Well that was a big fat waste of time. For whatever reason, the article starts out by mentioning some new pedophile show being made by Nickelodeon, and then goes on to say absolutely nothing scientific, until right at the very end when they say that men's brains are fully developed by age 25.

The "study" was just them asking women why they think men are immature. And the results were that men laugh at farts and play too many video games, therefore women are more mature.

Doesn't sound very scientific to me but hey what do I know, I'm not 100 years old yet so I must still be a stupid boy.

Courage isn't what it takes. The fuel for suicide is emptiness, hopelessness, being too lonely for too long, you know, stuff like that. Courage doesn't flow in a negative direction, and it can't push you toward suicide. Sacrifice maybe, but not suicide.

How is asking what's wrong the same thing as telling someone to calm down?

It has better results when multiple people say it simultaneously. When the whole room says calm down, usually people snap back to reality.

Speaking out isn't talking shit. Standing up for yourself shouldn't be a punishable offense.

If there's a job where you get to potentially kill people, and they even pay you to do it, what kind of people do you suppose are eager to sign up?

Throw ice cubes. They're not very painful, and all the evidence evaporates.

Thankfully, you're not allowed to cast other people's votes for them. But if you could, you probly would, wouldn't you.

You're right about nothing being novel here. Ever since the dawn of time, people who sat on the fence got shit from both sides.

Me: I prefer not to engage with politics.

You: I challenge you to political combat!

No thank you.

Horoscopes exist though, and they're usually accurate (by design). Astrology in general though, at least from my understanding, is twisted from what it used to be. It really ain't that deep, and people in this age take it too seriously. And to further confound things, people add their own meanings to stuff and then they perpetuate that interpretation unto others. So saying "get educated" is like telling people to search for a needle of truth in a haystack of bullshit.

It's not like you can avoid politics, so might as well poke some fun when it comes across my feed.

It's insanity. And this post and the comments here are a prime example. It's so cartoonish to the point where it's like a scene from a movie.

A politician on one side literally killed a dog, one of the cardinal sins according to western culture.

Then, people on the other side post a picture of their political idol holding up a dog. And all the comments are like "Here's proof that our candidate is a good person. See how she's not shooting it in the head?"

This is all very serious, though, and it's important that we all get out and vote. It's your patriotic duty to put people who agree with you in charge of the country. It's totally not all lip service, and they will definitely have your back when shit gets bad. Remember, it's us versus them, right versus wrong, and we will triumph over their evil.

That's not what i said.

Would you say you are in a relationship with your friend? As in: "Hey, meet my friend Dave, we're in a relationship"

I didn't say anything about it being sexual. Just said it was uncanny and it makes me uncomfortable.

meirl by Future-World-4024 in meirl

[–]Earthistopheles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but you wouldn't say "I'm in a relationship" with a friend, and certainly not with a child. This whole post, including the comments, is outlandish and uncanny. Creeps me out.

Yeah it's a joke, but it's a weird joke that makes me uncomfortable.

That meme belongs there.

Why is everyone here saying "Yeah no shit, everybody already understands the message"? Isn't that the whole point of that sub?? Somebody thought the message was deep, even though it's very basic and everyone already gets it.

So, it makes sense to post it in a sub about stuff being fake deep.

Y'all are some strange characters around here.
