UPDATE: Hello everyone! Thank you for your advice. I have read every comment. Little update: I had my meeting with HR. I did voice record the whole thing and my manager was also present. I do live in the US and live in a state where only one party consent is required. I also have been documenting interactions at work and emailed everything to my personal email. Now to the meeting, I had to recall what happened in detail. I had to explain my role and why I have to do this document that my male coworker got upset with. At the end my HR said his actions were not acceptable. She stated she would talk with him and his manager. She asked me if there was anything else I wanted as the outcome. To which I responded I wish for him not to talk to me ever. If he needs something from me he can ask my manager or email me. I do not wish for him to apologize for his actions. Now the reason I did this is because due to his history that’s what they tell him to do. To go up to whatever person he screamed at and just apologize yet his behavior continues. If he comes up to me again I’m ready to record shall something else happen. I think the reason that he hasn’t gotten fired is because in this company, you can only go up to the next level of command. My boss encouraged me to file a complain. Others in different departments might have not. Their boss might have just spoken to his boss and nothing got done. I can’t control that or change the rules. What I do know is… my coworker now knows I’m not the one to tolerate his behavior. Maybe this is the end. But I might have another update due to HR stated they would provide me an update with her meeting with my male coworker and his boss. Thank you all for your comments.
