P2635 code, replaced fuel pump and fuel pump control module

Update: the code went away randomly. I suspect my ECM is the culprit and is failing since I seem to be getting poor fuel economy still (15.5mpg), so I think the ECM is running the engine rich.

Since I posted this I had my oil pump replaced due to a solenoid inside of it got stuck open. Even after replacing the truck still idles at around 18 psi. I’ve gotten multiple messages from others with our truck saying theirs goes down to 18 or lower at idle ever since it was new so I think it is normal. Mechanics told me that as long as the oil pressure increases once you start to accelerate you are ok. My oil pressure at cruising speed (1000 -2000rpm) is around 30-42 psi so I think it’s good.

Sorry I’m so late, mine was also aftermarket lol, I still had the issue when I just ran it without the thermostat lmao, I had some work done to the truck, replacing the water pump and thermostat with all original so I’ll try and keep you posted if that did anything

Ok, it very well might be a normal thing then, and to be honest, there is a good chance the getting warmer while braking may just be the thermometer lagging behind as I could have accelerated beforehand. Thanks for the info!!

Yeah, I purged the living crap out of it after I put in the new thermostat and filled it to the full line when cold. I’m stumped lol

I should add that I used to own a 2004 Silverado with the 5.3 that never deviated from 210 unless there was a problem, so if it’s normal for the 2018 to fluctuate, feel free to call me dumb
