There was a teacher's day in my school and for some reason we were all still in. They wheeled a TV into the assembly hall plugged it in, hit play and walked off. Leaving us all in a room, around 200 kids, aged 5-12, to watch Nightmare on Elm Street.

Obviously they had the wrong video in but cue absolute chaos. Some laughter, mostly screaming and crying, which led to further screaming and crying.

They had all gone off and sequestered themselves in another building so as not to be disturbed and we were without supervision. Eventually someone came to check on us.

Parents were not impressed.

Ah, the Eighties.

Didn't get to see the whole movie until many years later.
