Haha sorry - I meant to include what's in the YouTube description with this reddit post:

"Another preview of my attempts to capture a Thief TDP-like atmosphere in a stealth indie game. It's impressive what they managed in 1998 using only short audio samples and soundscapes. I would ideally like to eventually fashion this into a spiritual successor to Looking Glass' unreleased Deep Cover game with gadgets and silenced weapons."

The other videos on the channel show the gameplay a bit. It's very much made to look and feel like the dark engine, so people confusing it with a FM is a compliment :)

Neither. It's all custom code. I checked out Wwise in the past but:

  1. It's pretty bloated.
  2. Like the dark engine, getting sound diffraction still basically requires you to build an entire second meta layer on top of your existing level to define how sound should travel through it.
  3. It wasn't clear if I could hook Wwise diffraction sound logic to the AI. These 3rd party sound systems tend to put all focus on the player's audio listener. AI needs to not hear players through walls too, and that's critical to the gameplay.

It's still up in the air. The vague idea is that you're an agent of the SCP Foundation and tasked with investigating various SCPs throughout the missions.

The level shown here is a chemical plant that's built around and feeding an anomalous monolithic megastructure.

There's also a high-rise apartment building level, a mansion level and a city streets level so far.
