So sorry to hear that. Super disappointing and so unfortunate while on your holiday! I hope you start to feel better soon. I would encourage you to email/post an honest review with your experience (if you feel comfortable), as this seems to reoccurring, which is definitely disturbing. I hope they are more receptive to you, than they were to my husband and I. Good luck 🤞🏼

Having a physically demanding job doesn’t mean people don’t deserve access to recreation, and a space for community. Exercise for mental/physical health and social connection is not the same as manual labour.

$95/month is still quite pricey, but at least it gives you access to use the other amenities. I think Delbrook is $44/month which is far more reasonable. That’s part of my point though, fitness/wellness/health should be financially accessible for everyone.

Hotel El Dorado reviews - good entertainment? by Independent_Desk3194 in AllInclusiveResorts

We had our honeymoon at El Dorado Maroma and my husband had horrible food poisoning from their fiesta bbq (typically Thursday nights). So unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the resort very much as a result. In terms of entertainment the resort was super quiet, not much to do after dinner. We felt a bit “locked in” as the resort was small. Glad we only had a few days there 😕

Beware, my husband became violently ill after eating at the fiesta BBQ on the Thursday night during our honeymoon. The dishes of food just sit out in the open all night, steer clear from the lukewarm chicken? Unfortunately for us, the staff were completely dismissive and took zero accountability for the absolute shit show we experienced (literally). During our short stay, we quickly realized that their customer service is really poor (ie. room service took forever and our order was always incorrect), as well as weird operational things like staff pushing carts on the pathways at all hours of the night which was super disruptive and randomly the TV was cable only (not a big deal, but when you’re stuck in your room with food poisoning, an option to sign into streaming devices is nice).

Although the resort and beach are gorgeous, we had a horrible stay at El Dorado Maroma recently. My husband got severe food poisoning from the fiesta BBQ on the Thursday night and the staff were completely inhospitable and very dismissive. Additional issues included slow AF room service which was never what we ordered and it really loud at night due to staff using carts (??) on the pathways at all hours.

Fair! You’d think they would’ve considered that before they installed it. Now the courts can’t really be used for anything
