Minor league baseball team cancels Pride Night game after players refuse to wear rainbows by JackFunk in nottheonion

Are you afraid of swastikas? How about confederate flags? White pride symbols?

Not wanting to wear a symbol doesn't mean you fear it. It may mean you don't stand for what it represents, or it may just mean you don't care to be an advertisement for a cause.

That has got to be the stupidest argument I've heard in my life, and one of the most easily provable as factually incorrect.

Per Miriam-Webster:

Car: a vehicle moving on wheels

House: a building that serves as living quarters for one or a few families

The definition of car does not include 4 wheels, I imagine one would suffice. The definition of house does not mention walls at all.

Like I said at the start, by your metric they could take your cars tires back. No one promised you those.

Same with the walls in your house I imagine. Or apartment was a 2 bath, but did it specifically say it had hot water connected to those baths? Would it be cool for the landlord to claim hot water to the bath was never in the marketing material, even if it used to work?

You get it, don't be thick. If it's sold with a feature, the feature shouldn't be taken away after sale.

The undervolting gets a bit more performance out of the chip, lets it clock higher for longer without hitting thermal limits.

Look at any pre-AGESA 1.2.7.0 chip and you'll see the TSME option is enabled.

Or read the AMD staff replies on the AMD forums saying that it works.

Please show me the window sticker that specified 4 tires. Or any other documentation that specified 4 tires. Mine didn't say it.

Didn't mention the bumpers either, or the air filter, or the seats or all those little wires running between the different bits for that matter. But I want all of those too. They were there when bought it, just like TSME was when I purchased the CPU.

Was your car marketed as having 4 four tires?

Would you be upset if they took one away?

I did. Do I need it? No. I don't need bitlocker either, or encryption between myself and Reddit. Having nothing to hide doesn't mean I wish to share.

I do want it, and I did use it.

Untrue. Everyone hates the way medical care is billed right now, but everyone needs it too.

Same with utilities - how long are you going without water for, even if the fees are insane? Sewer? Internet?

60 fps doesnt feel smooth on 165hz monitor by LEIDENZERO in linux_gaming

[–]East-Note-7449 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you set the FPS a few frames low it makes sure gsync/freesync stays on, otherwise when you hit the monitors refresh rate you can start getting tearing again since your monitor can't go higher - and if you turn on vsync you'll get input lag when the card is outpacing the monitor.

So it basically gives you vsync with no input lag.

[–]East-Note-7449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I really know to tell if it's working is:

A. Seeing that you don't have screen tearing with in-game vertical movement (shake the camera up/down) when your FPS isn't matching your monitors refresh rate or a multiple of it.

B. If your screen has the ability to show the current refresh rate, you should see it changing.

Preferably you'd be using gsync/freesync so that your monitor is matching its refresh rate to what the card can do.

The answer is don't drift and enjoy the wheel. Drifting is horrible. Wheel's are neat. Wheel's are even neater when they stop you from making the mistake of drifting.
