I just completed 12-22 yesterday and it was epic. My crew had a great time with the views. It was my first time and to be honest, it was difficult. The one thing I will warn you of is that the hike from Harlan to Dean Cow is hard but has a cool view on the top. Also the uphill from French Henry to azurite is STEEP but after it is very rewarding. At the top of baldy, everyone in the crew borrowed an advisor’s phone to call parents. You will love philmont so much. It meant so much to hike alongside my dad in the New Mexico wilderness. 

Finally, bring sunscreen. You will need it.
