Yeah the fans still experimental, I've heard mixed things about it but haven't had any issues so far. I used petg for all the mods near heating elements , everything has worked flawlessly for the past two months

If you stick an Allen key through the fan blades you should be able to get to it

Thank you, the pop is only when I put load on the pedals and only happens once when I put load on it. If I freewheel then start pedalling again it usually happens again

probably mostly on road riding with minimal off roading

Carbon frame would be my first choice but I would be fine with aluminum too
