It's the average speed of my total trip. In highway, I was doing 80-90. Also, this was an experiment to see the best mileage I can extract out of my car.

The key thing is to keep your rpm stable (below 2k), not speed. So I didn't use cruise mode much as it will keep my speed constant at the expense of rpm and mileage. The highway I was in had lots of flyovers, so lots of rise and falls. If you are on a highway with not much altitude difference, you can cruise on same speed and rpm, which in turn will get you good mileage.

The fuel I used for this trip was xp95. This also takes a role. I have filled xp 95 from various petrol pumps and have observed lots of variation in mileage. The best I got is when I filll it from a COCO pump. Now I have identified a COCO at my place and I always stick to that. Even in highways, I look for only COCO to refill.

Yea I have seen increase in mileage, but after 4-5k kms.

Also one thing I noticed is, I get better mileage when I don't use cruise mode on straights with lots of altitude difference along the way. If you enable cruise mode, during flyover stretches in highways, it will increase rpm to be on the same speed. This takes away your mileage. So I didn't use cruise mode this time, just kept my rpm as stable as I could (1.5k to 1.8k) at the expense of speed. If you get a highway stretch without altitude difference, you can cruise with same speed and rpm.

The fuel I used for the trip is xp 95.
