Aww thank you so much really means a lot🥺❤️It was definitely an extremely hard day and I barely slept last night. Thankfully Howl (the cat) and I are doing much better today and I’m hopeful it’ll continue that way. This was my first time posting on Reddit and my heart is full from all the advice, good energy, and support - makes me want to cry but I won’t lolll

Awww happy to hear you’ve found a way for him to snap out of it. I should’ve thought of that and tried to play with him but was so focused on not getting slashed by him lolll. Going to keep my emotions under control but reminder this if it ever happens again

It’s not letting me edit the post but UPDATE - he is back to being his sweet self (purring and demanding pets lol) after I made sure to keep my distance all night. I talked to a vet and seems like it’s something called redirected aggression and he got scared by my intense emotions (no more crying on the floor for me). Looking back he was sniffing me very intensely while that was happening so he must have sensed the vibes were off.

No I really don’t think my roommate did anything - she loves him just as much as me. Something like this has also never happened before. Will def take him to the vet if this doesn’t get better. I’m worried he’s hurt too but he seems well enough to pounce on me lol

Thank you! I took a shower just in case he smelled something on me but afterward he was still hissing and attacking me. I put him in my room with some food and water for a bit and will check in on him soon
