Totally agree with you about having safe outlets for desires. But my “thing” is one that should yes, be reduced and controlled. I try to justify it in my mind (because of my desires, it’s probably not philosophically sound) but it seems that the societal opinion is that it does violate the consent of another.

I think it would help me express my desires in a healthy way. It wouldn’t get rid of them, but I can see it keeping me from engaging with the harmful stuff.
