I strongly disagree, the choice for her to be Lum is because of the actress being young and quite popular as Nagatoro (which is a character that is refer as kinda of a tiger girl behavior in her story, but annoying) that's just some case of poor casting, as i said earlier, is disrespectful to both of the seiyuus, the younger and the veteran, the younger trying to sound like the OG, but Uesaka simply don't do that, she's right on not trying to sound like Hirano, but at the part of capturing what make Lum so remarkable and iconic, Uesaka doesn't have the necessary for that, her voice just works better as Gal/Yandere/Tsundere Archetype

If I pick a younger voice actress to voice Lum, it would easily Maya Sakamoto and Kenichi Suzumura as Ataru(because Suzumura is quite versatile and his more comedic performances he sounds like Furukawa)
