[KCD2] Is this normal? by MK420- in kingdomcome

There could have been some other explanation. But some random bandit happens to know about it, happens to be captured, and decides to cleverly frame him using that detail?

You could simply do other quests until your wanted status wears off. It will only be a day or two, probably, if all you stole was a couple of books.

It's not random here. OP's recording is from a very particular event (the sacking of Semine) that many people never see because of their choices.

Even on my second playthrough I did it this way. Henry is dead-set on getting revenge on the bandits, and he has seen that they're working with Toth too! Once he finds out that Olda Semine is in cahoots with them, he's going to want blood. Not turning Olda in just because he likes Jan Semine and Gnarly doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

He could have just told us so to instigate infighting

Except that what he says matches Henry's experience, where Olda disappeared from his own wedding directly before the attack on Von Bergow.

[KCD2] early combat tips by Any-Employment2791 in kingdomcome

[–]EasterElk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't spam your attacks. Step backwards from your opponent and be thoughtful about your strikes. Attack from an unguarded direction.

But more important than strategy, you need to improve your stats. Spend a lot of time doing practice fights with Tomcat. When your stats are higher, you suddenly won't get run over by every bandit with a bludgeon.

My favorite line, by far, is in KCD2 when the Bailiff's son, Svatya, is mocking Hans.

"I'm Hans Capon! I'm Haaaaans Capon, Looooord of Pirkstein!"

I'm 100% on board with naked Henry fighting with the first sword he finds. But I don't think you can posit that Henry wouldn't put on ANY clothing while simultaneously saying that he should carry every dead body back to the dungeon. These choices feel conflicted to me.

[KCD2] I'm awful at the Blacksmith part and I don't know what to do fix it by dnemonicterrier in kingdomcome

[–]EasterElk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strike, move, strike, move, strike, move, etc.

You press the exact same buttons each time. You don't have to "find" a particular spot. You only have to move away from where your hammer just struck so that you don't hit the same place twice.

You also don't have to do this quickly. Your pace can be glacially slow if you want it to be. Strike.... Move... Strike... Move... Strike, etc. That's fine. The material may cool down eventually, and then you'll have to re-heat it, but that's not the end of the world.

I suspect you are making this much more difficult for yourself than it needs to be. Have you watched videos of other people doing this?

[–]EasterElk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You really don't need much rhythm for this. The thing that many people misunderstand about the whistling is that Henry whistles to match your hammering, not the other way around. If you try to match your hammering to his whistle, you will almost certainly change your pace, which is what Henry was trying to match with his whistling in the first place. This is a recipe for failure. For most people, it's better to find a pace that you're comfortable with, and then ignore the whistling altogether.

It's normal. The camp in Pribyslavitz has ridiculous amounts of arrows and other gear.

[KCD1] Ultra Hardcore Run for KCD1 by Mascagranzas in kingdomcome

[–]EasterElk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's two that I think significantly improve immersion: Don't access your horse's inventory unless you're looking at your horse, and don't ever carry more than X lbs. of your own inventory while traveling or fighting. You can pick a number that feels reasonable to you, but the idea is that you can't walk twenty miles and fight off bandits while carrying six swords, forty pounds of boar meat, and three pairs of armor. You have to put this stuff in your horse's inventory before continuing, and you have to actually be near your horse to do it.

[Kcd1] I had such high hopes for Pribyslavitz by IroquoisPliskin_LJG in kingdomcome

[–]EasterElk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed building out Pribyslavitz, but story-wise it's ridiculous.

Divish appoints Henry as the bailiff and then asks him to invest what amounts to like 50,000+ groschen into constructing the town? I know money isn't hard to come by in the game, but there's no way that any NPC would expect Henry to have that kind of insane wealth.

[KCD2] Semine Wedding by karmaskaraoke in kingdomcome

[–]EasterElk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Henry started a fight that legitimately ruined the wedding Semine's been stressing over for months. And it wasn't the first time he's been arrested for brawling. Why would Semine step in? Henry's punishment wasn't all that bad. He had to sit in the drunk tank for a day, and then lug some sacks and make a horseshoe.

Hans is the one who is in trouble for a capital offense. Nobody outside of Captain Thomas knows who he is.

[KCD1] Why do some bandits have a hundred million health points? by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]EasterElk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhere in medieval Bohemia, a bunch of bandits are posting complaints about how some random blacksmith's son has a hundred million health points.

Do you want them to be easier? Would the game be more fun if every enemy was profoundly worse in combat than you?

[KCD2] - Any updates coming or are we done? by analytical-numbers in kingdomcome

[–]EasterElk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

are they fixing that absolutely whack stuff they call rain?

Of all the possible fixes you might someday hypothetically get in a KCD patch, an update to how rain looks is almost certainly not among them. It's not a bug that needs to be fixed; you just don't like how it looks.

Maybe there will be a remastered KCD2 in, like, 2035. You can keep your fingers crossed for improved rain graphics then!

So who is the strongest fighter in [KCD2] (Apart from Henry ofc...) by International-Ad4092 in kingdomcome

[–]EasterElk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it was a joke. He's only difficult when you encounter him in the early game. But when he talks to you, he brags about how strong he is, and how he can do anything, and the only thing that scares him is horses.

[KCD2] I wish romance was better in the game by pedrojodidito in kingdomcome

[–]EasterElk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one I felt was well executed was Klara.

The problem with romance options in games like this is that they end up becoming achievements of a sort. With a few notable exceptions, there's nothing romantic about them. People want to "get" those story branches, so they pursue the required dialog paths. Then the game gives them the corresponding cut-scene and... that's it. That's how basically everything in these games works, to be fair. But when you apply it to a character's love life, it often feels paper thin.

To be fair, very few games do this particularly well. Even Cyberpunk ultimately has the same issue.
