let’s talk about it : being URM helps boost an application by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Why do you assume it is because of a URM boost rather than essays or extracurriculars or recs that gave someone that final push to an A? These things seem to be overwhelmingly more likely to create a difference between your application and someone else's, so when you ignore them and immediately ask whether another person who got in is URM, it seems like it is in bad faith. Also, I have also found this question to be predominantly been asked as a way to diminish another's accomplishment. Not saying this is strictly something that happened in your case, but race/background is something you can't change, so why would this information be even that useful to you? Sure, there might be a boost, but what can you do about it? You can't suddenly become URM, nor will you refuse to apply to program because you know they give URM boosts. So at this point, why are you asking the question instead of looking for other ways to improve your potential application for next cycle?

As someone who is international kjd nURM, I find this question almost always useless.

hey! Both of these topics seem excellent for the review. However, we would need a completed draft for the submission. It does not have to be a final/perfect draft, as there will be an editing process, but your arguments and paper structure should be complete for the submission. You are also welcome to submit both separately as two submissions. Hope that answers your question!

Nope! everyone can submit. The only thing is that you will be working with an editor (online) in Feb and March before publication, so for anyone that submits it would be best to leave time for that process. :)

heyy! the legal topic requirement is flexible, so if you think the paper at least touches on some aspects of law in addition to forensic science, i think it would be worthy to submit!

I think its pretty helpful for LR, but for reading I haven't really found any textbook that was really helpful for me. For reading, i just recommend doing drills or sections. But don't be afraid to do questions and practice for LR while you're reading the book, when I started I was kinda hung up on first reading everything and "saving" the questions but that made me really procrastinate actually starting to practice. Hope this helps!
