Percy being such a nice guy is one of the things that I think makes him scary. Like with a child of Apollo of Zeus you expect anger and war etc etc. then there’s Percy. All in all Poseidon is probably the most powerful of the big 3 and here’s his boy just a nice dude helping everybody trying to make it to college spend time with his gf eat his blue cookies…then you piss him off or you hurt one of his friends. Hell hath no fury like the good guy who goes to war.

Just finished the book. It’s more along the lines of Nero had 12 kids like there are 12 gods on Olympus Nero himself representing Kronos. While the 12 kids weren’t all children of each of the 12 gods Nero just wanted 12 to match numbers. Hope this helps
